Dex and the Doc are engaged; he couldn’t contain himself and posted the news on Facebook before they had a chance to tell anyone in person. April wasn’t too pleased but got over it quickly enough. However, when Dr. Weird Accent wasn’t overly enthused about the subject of marriage, she questioned their decision a bit. Expect more will-they-won’t-they, until they finally do.
Josh is in a bad way in the hospital but he has Actual-Good-Nurse Hannah looking after him, and Ricky hovering nearby, so he should be right.
Spencer delivered Evelyn’s note to Oscar. In it, she warned Oscar not to let Spencer go on the retreat. She could have just told him that in person. Anyway, the discovery weekend is coming up, and Evelyn is guest of honour. Another cult-lady told her it was terrible, but wouldn’t divulge what went on. Evelyn is too young to have watched H&A in the good old cult days of Saul and Mumma Rose, so she doesn’t know creepy cults = teenage pregnancies. Here’s hoping Hannah, Zac and Oscar save the day (and buy her a new wardrobe).
Zac and Leah are investigating the cult. Zac’s bro says there’s nothing to worry about it but Hannah says it’s serious. I’d say she’s right, cults are always very sinister in the Bay. I wonder how this one will fare up against the Believers with Saul and Mumma Rose?
Casey is still in hospital and can’t feel anything in his lower legs. Dr Bradley told him to be patient and await test results but he won’t have any of it and tried to go walking around on his own which led to him lying on the ground doing his trademark crazy eyes face. Don’t worry about it Casey, you’ll be back surfing by the weekend, these permanent conditions never last in H&A.
Heath is away on honeymoon so it’s up to Brax to hand around and abuse the professionals, telling them they’re not doing their job correctly. It’s usually the younger Braxton down at the cop shop or hospital, going off on one.
Happy birthday to Home and Away! It’s 25 years today since it first aired. Back then, Alf was but a nipper, and Gawd hadn’t saved Ireland yet. Tell us what your favourite H&A moments are in the comments! My personal favourites are Saul’s cult (I said cult), and most recently, Sid in the ditch. Milco turning up was pretty good too.
In today’s episode, The Boize went to The City to fetch Kyle. They had to wear jackets for this. A serious operation requires serious clothing, or, at least, fewer vests. After some police action, and chats to Kyle’s mate, Brax and Heath got their man. Now, what will they do with him?
Bianca is a shambles. She fell asleep at work, then went straight to the next level with Adam, in order to ensure her gear supply doesn’t dry up.
Selina arrived in the bay with a bad attitude and a bad mother. She ditched them both and changed her ways to become a shining light of goodness by the time she left. She moved in with Irene and liked it so much that she even adopted her name.
Selina met a boy called Jesse. He was a bit of a bad boy but that wasn’t a problem for Selina. Selina was a great one for leading fellas up the stairs by the hand in Irene’s house which usually meant that they were about to take it to the next level. That happened quite a few times. She pioneered that move but many others have taken up that torch since then, including Gypsy, Martha and Nicole.
As well as dating Jessie, she also went out with Jack Wilson. Jack, like Selina, was a bit of a tearaway but had a good heart, don’t they all? Selina also had a fling with Damian, Irene’s son, which led to a teen pregnancy. She miscarried in the school which was pretty traumatic event for her.
She had many advertures during her time in the bay, which included joining a cult led by Saul. Saul had a powerful effect on Selina and became a bit obsessed with her. She overcame his brainwashing after her friends intervened but that wasn’t enough for Saul and he kidnapped her not once, not twice but three times. Persistance sometimes pays off but not in this case, he got shot to bits by the cops.
Selina had a thing for Stephen Matheson, one of the original cast members who made a return as an adult. This would have been fine except for the fact that he was Selina’s teacher. The broke off their illicit affair and he left town but she still harboured feelings for him when she was going out with Jesse. When she bumped into Stevo again, she couldn’t deny her feelings for him. They agreed to get married and managed to go through with it at the second attempt, the first was a non-starter what with all the kidnapping and shooting. The course of true love never did run smooth.
