Tea bags and tofu

“I don’t want to marry you” was how April greeted Dexter’s pending proposal. She loves him too much to get married apparently. What’s the rush anyway, is what Indi and Sid were asking him, sure they have loads of time before the need to settle down.

Indi wishes she hadn’t gotten married to Romeo so young. She says it put extra pressure on their relationship and cost them a year, when they broke up, and she’d do anything to have that time back again. He’s still alive and out there now, I wonder if he’ll make a reappearance before he snuffs it? Maybe he’ll come back as a ghost and haunt the beach, riding phantom waves every morning.

Marilyn is moving out of John’s after Roo and Harvs staged an intervention. They told her that she was getting too close to John, again. There is no reason for her to still be living there, given that his back is better now. She moved back into the Caravan Park so they had better stock up on tea bags and tofu.

Casey is on the jar because Tamara left him. He should head off to Sid’s ditch and drink himself into next week, or head to Angelo’s and drink five shots like Brax did when Charlie died.

The widow Walker

Maddie is still down in the dumps because Spencer is no longer giving her his unconditional attention. She seems annoyed that he isn’t heart-broken over their latest break-up. She got upset on the beach and he gave her a hug, overseen by Zac. Zac thinks that she only booked a counselling session with Nat to get some notice from Spencer.

Marilyn was fretting over John and their conversations. She thought he had the hots for her but was afraid to say it to him. She sat him down and told him her fears but he said they were groundless, he is far from ready to move on from Gina, they’re just friends and Marilyn feels awful.

Indi is doing it tough. Sid advised her to let go of Romeo as he’s probably passed away by now. It might be time for her to take to her surf board again, something she found hard to do while her husband was still alive, as it was something they had done together. It’s going to be difficult for the young Walker widow, she’ll have to find a way move on, dipping her toe back in the surf could be the first step on that journey.

A moron and a martyr

Romeo is hastening his own death by quitting chemo. His reason for this suicidal course of action is because he’s trying to hide his condition from his wife and this will be harder to do if he’s suffering the effects of life-saving treatment. He’s worried what effect telling her the truth will have on her, making him losing his own life a small price to pay. He has a history of stupid moves, failing his HSE on purpose, but this takes the biscuit, or tim tam.

Dex is back working as a nurse in the hospital but isn’t allowed to deal with the patients so he’s stuck to mopping floors and the like. He doesn’t seem too enamoured with it all. April thinks their break-up is going very well and reckons it’s only a matter of time before they are re-united. She seemed so sure about it that it made me think fate, or the universe, has other ideas.

Heath went to see a counsellor, twice. He only walked out once, which wasn’t bad given his short fuse. Bianca managed him pretty well in this episode, she seems to spend most of her time dealing with the last Heath explosion, it’s like the grenade on his neck has a three minute fuse that keeps getting reset every time it goes off.

The grand opening

The big day has finally arrived and the Summer Bay body and soul gym is open for business, big congratulations to Romeo, Indi and Sid. There was all manner of commotion with the power being out but Alf saved the day by bring over a backup generator. I look forward to many fitness related storylines from now on.

Kyle left Brax a note to say he’s hitting the road but then changed his mind and took the note with him. Tamara had told him that he’ll never be a Braxton, no matter how hard he tries, so he decided it was time to cut his losses and head off.

Jett was getting bullied by Tilda again. She even tried claiming that Jett bashed her but her made up bruise ran when she started crying. Gina was having none of it but has seen through the young pretender. Hopefully that’s the end of that storyline as it was ridiculous.
