Farewell flying doctor and daughter

Sid and Sasha are off to Broken Hill for his new job. It’s a pity they’re going, they were good characters. Sasha in particular is a big loss. On the plus side, Dex and April decided to stay so they’ll live on the farm now. They are overwhelmed by the idea of cleaning up after themselves. Tough life. Is Sid going to continue to pay their rent?

Brax and Ricky are having a great time with each other, all loved up. They made the mistake of saying how well things were going, bad move. A lady called to the door and served him with a subpoena so he’ll have to testify against her in court. How romantic.

Kyle has decided to go for broke with Tamara. This might mean that Casey will never forgive him but he’s going to risk that for the sake of his relationship. She has had a bit of a flashback on her captivity under Adam, this could cause problems. What’ll happen if she wakes up one day and remembers everything? Kyle could be out on his ear and Casey back in favour.

They’ll always have Paris, or at least Yabbie Creek

Today’s bayside business was all domestic. Things have calmed down since Adam got locked up. Isn’t it time they got a new psycho or villain around to stir things up?

April decided to treat Dex to a romantic day. She gave him snails for breakfast at the farm. It was a beautiful alfresco meal. Then she gave him a tango lesson, which was going well until a snake cut in and bit her on the leg. How rude, it didn’t even ask. She passed out due to the snake bite while waiting on the ambo to show up, so he had to drive her to the hospital himself. That would be ok but he has’t driven a car since his accident and his nerves are shot.

John sent Sid on a wild goose chase to see to Marilyn’s sickness. Only problem is that she’s not sick. She apologised to Sid in the diner and then John showed up so she had to fess up. There will be a reckoning there at some stage.

Zac was pumping iron in the gym and asked Indi if he should work on his bad boy image, to make him attractive like a Braxton. Could this be a new love interest for her now that he’s single?

There was some stuff with Heath, Darcy and Connie but I’m too bored to go into it.

The Grand Finale

Adam’s criminal warehouse was like something out of Homeland. Brax ran in blind to rescue Ricky, even though he knew it was a trap. Adam was waiting for him and shot him in the belly, the low-down dirty rat. “Now I get to watch you die”, Adam said. I wasn’t sure if I was watching the wrong show, maybe this was Love/Hate and not Home and Away.

Cue Brax’s dream, him standing on top of a cliff, looking out to sea. It reminded me of Alf going on his spirit walk as the Aboriginal man years ago after an operation. Ricky called an ambulance for Brax but he was too busy zoning out and dying to pay attention to what was happening in the real world.

They managed to get him to the hospital and April and Dr Sid got to work on him. Heath turned up at the hospital to give Ricky a serve then went off at Dex and April for not being able to predict the future. Ricky got interviewed by the baldy nameless cop and dobbed on her bro. Casey and Kyle should be in the clear now.

Adam managed to walk into the hospital during the night and knocked Heath out with a wrench. Adam was about to kill Brax when ghost Charlie appeared in his dream. She told him to wake up, his eyelids fluttered open for a second, but it didn’t matter. Adam injected some stuff into the patient causing him to go into arrest. Dex disturbed Adam and Heath tackled him, but it could be too late for Darryl. Only ghost Charlie can save him now I reckon.

Zac is in trouble over Holly’s sex attack claims which appeared in the local news. He’s been suspended from school and had a rock thrown through his window. Maddie confronted Holly again but she remains unrepentant over her treatment of Zac.

I loved Alf’s “no flamin worries” and Jett’s “strewth” in yesterday’s episode. He’s developing into a proper Aussie bloke under the old man’s influence.

Adam’s ultimatum

Ads decided it was time he moved his plan forward, revealing his non dead status to Brax and the boys. He even went to jail to visit and threatened his girlfriend’s life if Brax didn’t cooperate. Heath is up to 90 with worry about Bianca, but he’s the one who figured out that Ricky is involved as Brax wasn’t having any of it. Brax went to jail and Casey lost it when Brax revealed that Tamara was indeed kidnapped. He’s worried Adam will kill her. Brax left jail and his old mate Adam got him on the blower to give him some good news. He’s decided to free one of his hostages but Brax has to decide who, his own girlfriend or Casey’s. Tough choice, I’d tell him to keep them both.

Bianca has her own worries with Rosie. Her foster Ma doesn’t know what to do now that Rosie is pregnant. She calmed down and decided that it would be best if Rosie moved out and got somewhere else to live, with people who have more expertise, but then had a change of heart after a baby scan at the hospital.

Jett is doing his best to get John and Marilyn back mates again. He told her that she had fallen over and hurt her head. His plan worked and John and Marilyn buried d’auld hatchet.
