Schoolies alert

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

Ruby is all stressed out as she’s mid exams and her fella is banged up in the big house. Then Brax got arrested and that made her feel worse.  Xavier tried to make her feel better by telling her that it’s nearly time for schoolies.  That makes everything alright I suppose. You can’t beat schoolies.

April was having one of  her bad fashion sense days today. Good to see she’s over her drug addiction, she seems back to normal now. Is Gina getting a caffeine addiction? Luckily there’s a tai chi crase sweeping the Bay and she’s using that as a substitute for the coffee.

Brax is in deep do-do over the petrol station robbery. It seems one of Jake’s boys, Benji, was trying to set him up with a planted apple core.  Brax used his criminal genius to figure it out and sort it. Problem solved, no thanks to Casey’s solicitor, Hayley, who dropped him in it, refusing to back up his alibi.  That one is going to be trouble, I can tell. Brax knows that now too, Charlie told him that she’s working for Jake. But Charlie’s been taken off the case so Brax will have to make do on his own. Constable Watson is going to do her best to take him down, which should be easier now that she doesn’t have Charlie around, messing things up.

Juvie

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Aww poor Casey, the best of the Braxtons, is off to Juvie for the grand total of…30 days! As we know, 30 days is a long time in the Bay. Xavier will probably have suffered four more injuries when Casey’s released. Ruby will definitely have met a new beau. Charlie will be back from wherever she is. Irene will be wearing makeup again. In short, the face of Summer Bay will have changed forever.

How will Casey cope with being an ex-con? I reckon he’ll be hardened up on the Inside, and once released, will have no interest in study or the HSC. He’ll probably fight off Ruby’s probable posse of suitors and pimp her out. Hopefully he’ll fix her hair too.

Casey, this one’s for you.

Party time

Monday, November 28th, 2011

It was parties a-go-go in Summer Bay in that episode. Mr. JP was 50 and having a posh pizza dinner in Angelo’s with every local over 30. Gina was looking lovely. Harvey gatecrashed, Sid scowled, Leah moped, Miles drank and Romeo and Indi (under 30 but there anyway) crept off to consummate their marriage once again.

The under-30s were in the caravan park, where Dexter and April discovered Sasha’s nudie photos. It’s ok, she says everyone is doing it. Casey thought Ruby was with Xave, when in fact she was only trying to catch his eye. Anyway, they are friends again and she is going to wait for him if he has to do a few long months of juvie. I hope she can stick to that promise, she’s never without a man for long.

The Next Level

Monday, November 21st, 2011

For nigh on 20 years, Summer Bay teenagers have been obsessed with taking things to the next level. The most recent victim of this affliction is Dexter Walker. April’s more interested in checking out Sid’s mad doctoring skillz, though. She’ll be off to medical school in no time. Maybe she can join the Flying Doctors.

I can’t wait for Romeo to punch Harvey in his weird mouth.

Brax is trying to keep The Boys under control after they were hassling Sasha. He put in a good word for Stew with Sid. BUT Xavier has his wee eye on Sasha too. Ooh love triangle.

Absolute corruption

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Gina and the “save the school” crew are on the Dept. of Education. It turns out that they covered up the fact that the school wasn’t properly repaired after an earthquake in 2006. Inspector Xavier was the one who found the details in the school’s files.  Now the school is going to rebuilt after all. Final score: citizens of the bay 1, department 0.

Poor Leah is in a bad way.  It looks like she might have lost the baby. Veej called Miles, who was preoccupied with the school situation.  When Miles didn’t answer he called Elijah who rushed over.  He was there to comfort Leah, which is all well and good but wouldn’t he have been better calling Sid or the Ambos? No doubt Leah will now break up with Miles and get back with Elijah, who’s still holding a massive torch for her.

Living in a toilet

Friday, November 4th, 2011

I think Felix is the first home and away character to live in a toilet; even Milco didn’t stoop that low. Luckily Veej (the stone-throwing brat) found him and brought him home. What kind of a thick is Sasha to leave her brother living there? She also cleared out the till in the Diner. Hurray, we have a new problem teen!

Xavier called a meeting in an effort to help Gina save the school. He’s fair dinkum, eh?

Disaster

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

For a town that has a disaster at least bi-monthly, Summer Bay is not wise to what to do in an emergency. Harvey and Roo headed out on the boat, Xavier left recent heart-attack and bashing victim JP at home alone, and Dexter and April went out into the storm looking for Sasha.

Luckily Alf turned up at the Surf Club and turned on the emergency channel. Rescue action number one. Felix and Sasha just waltzed into Gina’s and discovered comatose John. They rang Sid and he sent help to 31 Saxon Avenue. Rescue action number two. All the while there were cool montages of fake-looking rain, and Alf said typical Alf stuff like, “flamin’ idiots”.

Xavier found Sasha robbing food from his gaff and John inexplicably gone. More shots of driving rain. Alf and Romeo saved Roo and co., except for Harvey, who is looking pretty dead. Perhaps Romeo will get that mooring after all…

Xavier went straight to the hospital, as it’s his second home these days. He told Sid about Sasha the robber.

I LOVE A DISASTER EPISODE!

What a beaut bloke!

Monday, October 24th, 2011

Hahaha the face on Sid at the end of that episode when he saw Sasha and Roo having a chat. He’s in trouble now.

Alf and Romeo removed the mooring after the Council said they couldn’t have it. Alf denied all knowledge of it when Harvey called over without any buttons on his shirt. However, Roo’s article outlining Alf’s attachment to the mooring was published in the Coastal News that very day. That’s two more chaps in trouble.

Gina expelled Casey because she was cross with Xavier. When Xave quit on the farm and came home, she tried to take back the expulsion. Casey was having none of it. Eff school, he said.

Heath got bashed

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

Poor oul’ Heath. No sooner was he out of jail than he got bashed. The being-a-bollox isn’t working out too well for him. Did Jake bash him or what?

Charlie is going to turn herself in, such is her love for Brax! Here she is thinking about the Blood and Sand tattoo she’s going to get:

Xavier’s gone to the farm, to be with Kelly. It’s fairly remote. He only has eight weeks till his HSC. Braindead.

Kelly quits

Monday, October 10th, 2011

Kelly said her goodbyes to the bay and returned to the farm. Why is it that whenever somebody leaves the bay, they have to do it immediately? Nobody ever says, they’ll hang on until next week or next month.  No time like the present I suppose.  Xavier is crestfallen, another failed romance but this time it’s not down to his compulsive lying.  He used both of his two brain cells to come to the conclusion that the solution was to run away from the bay and move to Kelly’s farm. Genius.

Brax told Darcy that he’s not her dad.  Poor girl.  She seemed let down.  I feel sorry for her, having two mental cases like Teegan and Heath for parents.

Miles popped the question but Leah turned him down.  Denied.  Leah adopted a fairly unusual mindset for Summer Bay and said they should wait until the time is right, rather than rushing into a hasty decision.  Never thought I’d hear anybody in H&A say something along those lines.
