Bad boy makeover

Dex found two college mates who gave him girlfriend advice when they saw April’s name on his copy. They said he didn’t have a chance of getting her back due to his nice guy image. He needed their help in the form of a bad boy makeover. They all went to the bar for shots and lessons in being elusive. Can’t see it ending well. If this works, April is a simpleton. Maybe he’ll take it to heart and join the river boys.

Poor Felix is a desperate actor. Fair play to Sasha, she didn’t desert her brother or forget about him, unlike Xavier and Brendan. Her plan to live with Felix in the city didn’t work out and she came back to the farm.

Henri is going to take a job at the school, but has a lot to consider, not least her affair with Casey. I can see the doo-doo hitting the fan before long. Casey has very bad timing with his text messages. They’ll have to take a break until after his exams. Casey will go off the rails before long I’d say. Maybe he’ll threaten to leave school again.

On trial

Sasha’s on trial. Morag’s her lawyer. Watson’s agin her. Sasha said Watson was nice to her down the station, but has now changed her tune. Xavier flinched at his mentor being slagged off.

April knows about Casey and Henri. Henri’s gonna quit teaching so the affair can continue. Casey was smiling like a simpleton when he heard.

Hoo-roo

“Hoo-roo!”, said Gina, as Henri set off for Casey’s house. What a wonderful expression.

Gina has lovely sunglasses. Also, she’s still v. cross with John. It’s quite entertaining. Sasha and Xavier engineered a dinner so that John and Gina would talk. It backfired.

Casey looks at Henri as if he wants to lick her. The cat is practically lepping out of that bag. She’s called it off (again).

Indi’s uni mate has a handsome, rich brother. Her husband is out of town with his ex-lover. It’s like something out of Mills and Boon. Indi went to surfertown and saw Ruby in what she thought was Romeo’s bed. Ruby talked Romeo out of going after Indi and he stupidly agreed. DICKHEAD.

Cop on top

Xav is still having a tough time in the Aussie Templemore. Sergeant Rafferty has got in for Xav and he’s not going to let up anytime soon. But then chance lent him a helping hand when he foiled an armed robbery. Rafferty still tried to give him grief when investigating the scene of the crime, until Xavier gave him what for. Now the tables have turned and Xav is the golden boy of the class.

Henri hooked up with Heath in Angelo’s while he was fighting with April. She claimed to be down with his “no strings attached” approach but I don’t buy it for a minute. She suggested they go away for a weekend together which doesn’t really sound very low key. April is going to freak out when she hears about it. Heath is thrilled, he thinks he’s going to have his cake and eat it, yum.

Morag in the house

Morag is back in the bay, kicking ass and taking names. Episodes with Morag in them are always better. Hopefully the trial will take a while and she’ll stick around. I’m surprised that Robert Robertson didn’t appear to carry out the initial investigation.

I felt sorry for Watson, having to deal with Morag. She’ll have her work cut out there. Sash will be prime suspect in the trial and it’ll look like it’s going against her only for some vital evidence to come to light at the last minute, which will reveal her innocence.

What’s going to happen with Xavier in the cops academy? He might have thrown his chances of a police career away for the sake of coming home to checking on Sasha. Gina was freaked out and made him go to the cop shop and tell Watson that he’s being victimized in the Academy by Sergent Rafferty. She did Xav a favour and got onto Rafferty for him, who agreed to let Xavier back into cop school. I reckon that investigations and conviction rates will go up tenfold now that Charlie isn’t the boss, Watson will do a far better job.

Karaoke night

In a strange move, the River Boys and the Rockstar held a karaoke night at Angelo’s. Every good singer in the cast did a number. Colleen sang too, but the show went to a break! I bet she sang “Gravel Pit”. One two, one two!

Bianca told April about the pregnancy, April told Heath, Heath asked Bianca if it was his. How pregnant is Bianca? I hope Sid does his inspection soon so we can find out.

SERGEANT Watson is after Xavier and Dexter for the Stu murder. Sasha is looking very worried.

Police, politics and plots

What is Denis up to? Romeo saw him putting a body sized object into the boot of his car down on the resort building site. Romeo reckoned that John and Denis were trying to get Harvey out of the picture for good, then he saw Denis loading his car boot in the dead of night, what’s a boy to think? Sometimes 2+2 does not 5. I suspect Romeo’s suspicions will cost him his job and get him in trouble with his wife. Speaking of Indi, how does she have time for college, she has a job in the diner and another one working for Denis. Busy woman.

Xavier got accepted into the cops which was great for him if slightly surprising given the history of incompetent police activity (cousin Jack) and people smuggling (brother Hugo) in his family. He’s going to fit right in with the YCPD. He did a bit of preemptive social brown nosing by going for a drink with Constable Watson. She must be top dog since Charlie’s retirement/assassination. Given how fast things move, Xavier could be chief of police inside six months.

Henri’s here

There’s a new teach in town, to go with the new school. Turns out she’s an old flame of Heath’s and was quite the wild child in her schooldays. Henri (for that is her name) has already bonded with Bianca and hooned with Heath. April is not impressed. She engineered a study session around at the Braxeses, and showed up with the girls noticeably on show. Unfortunately Henri showed up before Heath was seduced.

Brax spent most of that episode drinking. Leah gave him a talking-to and basically said WWCD (what would Charlie do). She also moved a bottle of whiskey to the other end of the table, making it slightly more difficult for Brax to get battered. Good move. Brax came to his senses, invited Geoffrey over, did some panting, and told the gangsta he’d have to shoot him to get his hands on Angelo’s. And gave him a gun. Not such a good move.

Weirdly, Sasha got her da to tell Gina to tell Xavier to keep away. Something’s not right there. Also, Sasha is permanently wearing gloves.

Dex dilemma

What happened there? The short answer is not very much. Here are the bullet points:

Sid is struggling to cope with the fact that Dex doesn’t know what to do with his life and doesn’t want to follow in his footsteps but wants to be a nurse instead.
Irene collapsed in the hospital. She’s still feeling crook but it was only indigestion this time.
Xav admitted to Gina that he has the hots for Sash. He went for a pash on the beech but was knocked back. She promptly told him to keep his distance as she’s toxic.
Romeo hates his job working for Denis but is afraid to tell Indi. Turns out he’s decent at it despite himself and sold 5 apartments.
Harvey is causing havoc with the development and will do his best to block it if elected.

Hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.

Cops 1, Doctors 0

The future of the Bay is in good hands; Officer Xavier will keep its streets clean. Xave is so hot-headed that criminals will cower in fear. He went mental when he heard Stu had yet again taken up his mantle as Sasha Basha.

The health of the Bay is in question, though; soon the Walker family could be doctorless. Sid is up on charges, and Dex wants to be an engineer.

I was happy to see Romeo in a suit. He’s no natural salesman, though, trying to close the deal by using his surfie skills.

Elijah’s been kicked out of Leah’s Home for Ragamuffins now that Ruby is back. She didn’t visit a hairdresser in The City.

In that episode, Irene was in rude health, and decided to take a solo trip on the glittering waters of the Bay. Her erstwhile beau, Lou, taught her the tricks of the nautical trade before he met his maritime end. This more recent trip didn’t turn out well for Irene; she keeled over as soon as she left dry land. Another one in the long list of Summer Bay leisure-trip disasters.

Poor Dex. He saw April leave Heath’s house early in the morning, and correctly presumed there was next-level-visiting going on. He promptly called to Dallas in the surf club, and offered himself up to her. Unimpressed, she soon forgave Dex and told him she likes him lots and lots.

Poor April. She hung around Heath so much that he was forced to tell her that he only gave her a poke in order to get back at Bianca. Sound man.

Someone made a reference to Xavier going to Police Academy. Hahahahaha. I hope they have a medical wing at the training facility.

Charlie’s a goner

So, Charlie is dead. Or more correctly, she’s braindead. It never stopped her doing her job before, but Dr. Sid is keen for Ruby to pull the plug. Maybe he’s anxious to have the room free for the next time Xavier gets injured.

Brax and Jake had a fight/chase, which ended in Jake being taken away by the cops. He’s not too clever, old Jake; he’s going straight back into the slammer. Maybe he likes it.

Ruby is coming around to the idea of turning off Charlie’s machines. Brax is not so happy with it. I foresee a massive outburst of rage.

There is one thing that the good Doctor Walker hasn’t tried, though. Why not get all the River Boys around to the hospital and have them take off their tops? If anything could revive a braindead woman, that’d be it.

There’s a new cop. He seems useless. He gave Sid a good talking-to when he was leaving the cells.

Stu’s dad showed up in the hospital. Turns out he is fairly scobey. Not surprising really.

Elijah is doing a LOT of hanging around the Patterson-Bakers. What about his job?

Style vacuum

Where to start? April’s dress, with all of the boobage. RUBY’S HAIR! Alf dancing awesomely. Dexter and Xavier rapping and later scrapping.

Most of all, RUBY’S HAIR. What was the story there? Was it a Pocahontas thing?

Casey’s out of juvie, for good behaviour. He is going to The City with Ruby, despite her hair.

Stu spiked the punch, then slapped Sasha. Sid saw it, YES! And bate lumps out of Stu. FULLY BASHED.

Miles away

April has been shopping in Luscious lingerie and she also bought some rubber johnnies. Bianca is a bit freaked by the fact that her little sister might be taking things to the next level but Irene told her to take a chill pill. Bianca tried to convince April that her first time should be with someone she loves, while April just wants to get it over with anyone and Xavier will do. Bianca and Liam are heading to the city, but she managed to convince April to hold off on the deflowering for now.

Dex and Dallas are building a nice relationship, especially now that Dex found out herself and her son live in a car. Dex is a sucker for a girl in need, given that he has a heart of gold. He even organised a van for her in the caravan park, fair play. He’ll need her as an object for his affections once he finds out that April is about to take her love to town.

Miles and Elijah had another showdown. Miles is well pissed off with the Rev, but still shook his hand as they said their goodbyes. I’ll miss Miles, he’s been a good addition to the bay, Roo and Alf are going to take over the caravan park. Farewell Milco, Australia’s loss is Thailand’s gain.

Car marts and dark arts

Liam’s jam/biro scars seemed to clear up between the first scene and the car auction. He got a bit of a land when Bianca tried to get him to buy a family car for when they start a family in the future.Liam isn’t ready to put his rock star past behind and bought another bike, much to Bianca’s chagrin.

April is organising a list of potential take it to the next level dudes. She met a bloke called Jonathan at the auction, who asked her to go to the formal with him. Could he be the one? Apparently not, she told him she’s not ready to move on from Dex yet. It’s between Xavier and Heath at the minute. Bianca is not impressed with her hanging around with Heath. Given how she’s going through a rebellious phase I fear she’ll opt for the bad boy. This good girl gone bad storyline reminds me of when Jade went off the rails and organised a sit in.

Marilyn organised a girly lunch for Irene with Colleen and Roo. Irene thanked the girls for standing by her during her cancer trials. What did she expect them to say, “I hear you’re sick so stay out of our way until you’re better”? They decided to invoke the dart arts by doing a tarot card reading. Unsurprisingly it predicted that somebody will die. Who could it be? Colleen lost the plot and Irene looked worried, so worried that she decided to make a will.

The new doc

Mink is hanging around like a bad smell. Somehow she thinks there is loads of money in the Bank of Romeo. Indi even offered to give her her day spa voucher, and she threw it on the ground. Inconsiderate cahhhhh. Romeo later said he’d have money for her by the end of the week. But Mink isn’t allowed to tell Indi. Bad move Romeo.

Sid met new Doctor Kerrie at Irene’s and asked her out for lunch. Irene found out Roo still has eyes for the doc and got into a terrible fluster. She told Sid, who wasn’t impressed with Kerrie’s lack of opinions anyway.

Stu made friends with Sid and got Sasha’s grounding lifted. Sasha reluctantly went to the beach with The Basher. Later Xavier found her moaning on a bench, and took her to hospital. I call infected tattoo. Xave must have enjoyed that, normally he’s the patient.

Dex didn’t do Dallas

Liam is staying with Bianca in Irene’s house to recover from his jam stains. Where did Liam live before this, in a caravan? How much room is there in Irene’s house? Loads by the looks of it.

Bianca and April are having sisterly tiffs over their respective love lives. Usually it’s April who has more sense but Bianca looks smarter this time, moving on from Heath to Liam. April is displaying a lot of interest in Heath, an unhealthy amount. She must be very hot, she came home at night after a day out still wearing her bikini. Xavier set her up by tricking her into going to the pizzaria where Dex was waiting. April believed him that he didn’t do Dallas but still broke up with him over his boorish bragging.

Xavier seemed happy to see Mink and vice versa. She’s not back five minutes and is already causing trouble. She scabbed a free lunch from Indi and borrowed money from Romeo. Indi is wise to her scams but Romeo is too trusting. She wants to borrow money as she’s in a bit of strife but where is Romeo going to get two thousand dollars? He’s making a fortune teaching the schoolies to surf but that won’t go on forever. Indi wants him to think of the future but he can’t see past tomorrow, poor boy.

The Virgin Slayer

Phew, Xavier got the V8 back from Stew. Sasha agreed to keep seeing him. Bad move, Sash, I’d start wearing a helmet if I were you.

April and Dex made a sexy plan but April had to stay home to look after Irene. Dex went to the party in the Surf Club anyway, where Xavier was dressed up as an extra from The Sound of Music. He was trying to lure a lady nicknamed The Virgin Slayer, who prefers the more experienced gentleman. However, she was more interested in Dex, and laid a smacker on him, just as April joined the party. Le sigh.

Schoolies and toolies

Xavier is heading off on a European tour thanks to generous John deciding that he’s willing to sell the V8. Â So all Xavier needs to do is find a buyer for the car. Xav revealedÂ that his target market is a “toolie”. What’s that you might ask, well I’m afraid I can’t tell you. Â I listened back to Xavier’s definition of a toolie three times but still couldn’t understand what he said.

Sasha finally got sense and dumped Stew. While she did like him she got sick of his psycho behaviour. Her relationship motto seems to be “less bash, more pash”. Stew, being the local mentalist, didn’t take too well to his new found single status and claimed that he would hurt himself if she dumped him. He promptly jumped into the V8, which Xavier had left with keys in it, and drove off in a rage. Â That won’t end well.

Brax has left the River Boys apparently. Heath offered him the chance to sell drugs to the schoolies but he was having none of it as he’s on the straight and narrow now. Â Charlie was impressed with him leaving his gang behind and took him back, yet again. Charlie says she wants to head to the city with Ruby, maybe Brax will go with them? Â Charlie and Brax could set up a a business doing consultancy work for criminals, helping them to pervert the course of justice.

Traffic duty

Not traffic duty!

Well, there was a lot of police work in that episode. Charlie’s boss is back and not impressed. He kicked her off the case and onto traffic duty. SICKENER.

Charlie and Watson went for a spin with all of the evidence from the case. Sergeant Buxy slyly tipped off Brax, who bashed in a window and nicked the evo (is that a word?). The Boss and The Other Cops went around to Brax’s gaff and did a search, but found nothing. Haha.

April apologised to everyone except Dex. He was cross. Xavier told April it was because they hadn’t taken things to the next level. Cue fairy lights.

Sasha got a tattoo, the friggin’ eejit. Stew’s da wants him to be an architect. Hardly a viable career path for a River Boy. Sure they’re always too busy hooning around.
