Look what the cat dragged in

Spencer found Matt sleeping on the doorstep of Irene’s house so he passed him onto Sasha. She got him showered, dressed and took him to Leah’s. She followed the Summer Bay tradition of taking him in without a second thought. Matt and Sasha celebrated with a pash on the beach. Spencer won’t be happy when he finds out.

Maddy let slip to Josh that she kissed Spencer on the sly. He stormed off in a huff which left Maddie depressed. Oscar swooped in to pick up the pieces and provide a shoulder for her to cry on.  Maybe he’ll be able to take advantage if they break up?

Nate was annoyed when he found out Ricky isn’t seeing Brax as he assumed she broke up with him to be with Brax.  Now Ricky is on the market again could there be room for a reconciliation?  Leah seems to think so.

Zac off the rails

Monday, May 26th, 2014

Zac is now a daytime-drinking, husband-hitting, colleague-cursing mess. Hannah has threatened to move out, and take the kids with her. Secretly, though, she lurves him and is annoyed that he took it to the next level with Bianca.

Chris, Spencer, Phoebe, Jett, John and Marilyn saved the diner by luring customers in with a master marketing campaign. Which consisted of shouting at people from a boat. Irene was at home with her feet up, but Alf used one of her own phrases agin her to spur her back into action. GET A WRIGGLE ON!

What happened today?

  • Heath met Jess
  • Bianca saw them and got the hump
  • Irene told her to cop on
  • Heath tried to sort it out with Bianca
  • She made him choose between her and the baby
  • Jess went into labour
  • Matt kissed Sash
  • Matt told Spencer
  • Spencer punched Matt
  • Sasha apologised to Spencer
  • He is sick of her drama and dumped her
  • Jett blackmailed Sasha to get on the council
  • Jett is using the student council to commemorate Gina

I’d say Sasha and Matt will be doing a line before long.

Banger bows out

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

Harvey said a very long goodbye to the Bay today. They all got over it and let him leave, even Spencer who was having a hard time adjusting to his impending departure. As a consequence, Maddy was spending a lot of time with Spencer, causing Josh to go green with jealousy. He gave her an ultimatum but she opted to stick with Spencer et al, so that’s it, they’re done.

Chris is going to try and become a matchmaker for Irene. He wants Johnny boy Palmer to help him, but John is reluctant. I’m inclined to agree with John, arranged dates don’t usually end well in the Bay.

Sasha and Tamara are at loggerheads over the school captaincy. Tamara is counting on the Mangrove River vote but Andy told her that she’s barking up the wrong tree there, those students won’t bother voting. Tamara made friends with Phoebe over a beer in Angelo’s, then had a go at Sasha who was there for dinner. Tamara may have the superior policies but Sasha has the advantage of promising free ice cream, that could clinch her the election.

Alf’s aces high

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

There was a girlie night in aid of Roo at the caravan park. All of the Bay’s female population were there along with Alf who cleaned up at the poker table. Roo was temporarily distracted by the fun but she’s still having a hard time adjusting to his absence.

Harvey is hanging out in John’s house, or should I say hiding out. Spencer went over for a talk, trying to get him to come back to his wife but he wasn’t budging. He wants to leave the Bay but Roo isn’t willing to go. This is an insurmountable problem. She called over to John’s and asked him for a divorce.

Kyle let Tamara off easy for her final shift at Angelo’s. Then he called over to Phoebe’s caravan for a jam and a flirt. He told her he feels he belongs in the Bay and is happy to be a Braxton. He tried to kiss her which caused her to call it a night. What is she up to? I don’t really understand why she is sticking around town, unless it’s just an attempt to win Kyle back.

Sasha has decided she wants to become school captain, it’s a great idea, she is a leader of men and women. I would vote for her. Spencer is going to help, maybe he’ll be her campaign manager/press officer, the Alastair Campbell to her Tony Blair.

Moving forward

Thursday, March 20th, 2014

Sean spent the episode throwing his weight around, trying to intimidate and kidnap half the bay. He had Andy cornered in the caravan park and was starting to bash when Casey turned up at the head of the Boyz, it’s great to see the old gang back together. Casey managed to face him down which saved Andy’s bacon. Kyle got the hump that he wasn’t invited along for the gang war so he met Sean later and brought him to Angelo’s, trying to pay him off. Sean was ungrateful and didn’t accept Kyle’s offer of a payoff to walk away. He swung but clearly didn’t realise who he was messing with, Kyle made dirt of Sean, and kicked him out of his blood stained restaurant. When Casey turned up asking after Sean’s whereabouts, Kyle pleaded ignorance, saying he had no idea where Sean had got off to.

A short while later he turned up in Irene’s. Bashed, bloody but unbowed, he still found time to threaten and intimidate a few more cast members, namely Irene, Sasha, Spencer and Chris. He has them prisoner in their own home now, which is lovely and tidy after the slave labour the kids have to put in for partying too hard in Irene’s gaff.

Harvey is still trying to figure out who he is since he returned from his ordeal. He spent the night outdoors, sleeping rough under the stars. I wonder if he would like a go at Sid’s ditch, it’s free now the good Dr. has left town.

Party time

Tuesday, March 18th, 2014

Jett and Veej came up with an amazing party plan, have it in Irene’s while she is away. Chris and Spencer were sure that the other bro had organised it but once they came back to find it in full swing they decided to go with the flow and they got to partying. All was good until Irene came back and caught them in the act. She’s going to have some time punishing Chris and Spencer for their carry-on.

Things are not going smoothly on the farm. The twins were annoyed with Zac over Ethan’s funeral arrangements. They went off in a huff but when Zac brought them back home from the party they had a big chat and it’s going to be fine now, they’ll set up as a proper family.

Some odd dude from Andy’s past turned up in the Bay asking questions about the elder Barrett bro. He turned up at the party and heard that Casey had taken Andy on in the gym, where he was locking up. Andy could be in a for a bashing.

Hit the frog and toad

Tuesday, March 11th, 2014

There were plenty of rowing romancers in that episode. Spencer and Sasha fell out over her blindfold kiss with Chris, then Marilyn and John fell out over the value of a kiss. Marilyn won that one when she pashed Dr. Nate/Accent/Cheekbones in the diner; John was none too impressed. Anyway, everyone was friends again by the credits, phew!

Ricky and Dr. Nate are doing mighty flirting. He might have to leave town, which is causing her some distress. She had another baby/medical emergency, so he’ll have to stick around now.

How ridiculous is it that Brax still doesn’t know Ricky is pregnant? How come none of the Boyz have let it slip? This is very un-Summer-Bay-like.

Destination romance

Monday, March 10th, 2014

Sasha is annoyed that all of her memories with Spencer have a bit of a downside to them. They got caught breaking into the school and had to wash up in the diner. This time Spencer decided to make a pure romantic memory. He asked Marilyn for advice and set up his plan. He led her into the room blindfolded and sat her down at a candle lit table. She was waiting for Spencer to return to the room when Chris walked in and she snogged him, thinking it was Spencer, yet another messy date for the pair.

Maddy is also annoyed, in her case it’s because Josh is hanging around with Andy again. She had a deep and meaningful with Roo and she’s now ok with Josh having a relationship with his bro. The two of them are going to share a van in the caravan park, that will end badly.

The twins found out about Zac and Hannah kissing and lost the plot. The adults got lectured by the children and felt ashamed. They’ll try to keep it non-sexual for now but I don’t see it lasting, their passion will get the better of them.

Summer Bay Girls

Monday, March 3rd, 2014

The festival went well, didn’t it? Sure the romance was palpable, what with Maddie and Josh taking it to the next level, fairy lights and all, and John and Marilyn having an oul’ slow-dance in the beam of his headlights. Even Spencer ended up happy enough, his protectiveness abated by Josh sticking up for Maddie.

Oscar dance

Oscar absolutely loving it

Ricky has loads of visitors in hospital; Nate dropped his festival duties the second he heard she was there, and Heath and Bianca slept there overnight. That was particularly handy, as it gave Montgomery ample time to plant a bomb in Bianca’s laptop bag. At least, I think it was a bomb; it looked a bit like an answering machine. Will Bianca blow up the hospital?
