Those Aussies love Sally

Monday, May 5th, 2008

She won most Most Popular Personality On TV and Most Popular Actress at the Logies. Geoff got Most Popular New Male Talent and Home and Away won Most Popular Australian Drama.

Spiritual in Summer Bay

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

There have been a lot of religious references in Home and Away recently, between Annie and Geoff who are fairly hardcore, and Sally’s sojourn to Nirvana where she visited a picture of Flynn. Deadly. Not since the days of Saul have we seen so much weeping and gnashing of teeth.

What do you think, do you like the holy mentions, or could you do without them?

Get a load of Sally while you can

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

I thought it worth mentioning that although we know Sally’s leaving soon, I don’t think any of us have pondered what this means. She will pass into the realm of "past characters". Enjoy her while you can.

Second best near death experience in the history of H&A

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

A few questions arose from today’s episode:

  1. Why was Flynn doing an impression of the sacred heart with his holy light? I think that he was conspicuous by his absence. Maybe he’s not in heaven at all but was sent downstairs.
  2. How is it that Tom has continued to age even though he died around 15 years ago? He told Sally to tell Pippa that he’d be waiting for her. I wonder what Michael thinks of that. It’s all going to kick off when she arrives with a meatloaf in one hand and a basket of laundry in the other.
  3. Was Annie auditioning for Grease when she was playing pool in the surf club? Is she due to experience a crook and rebellious period like those of Jade, Matilda and Lucas?

Bad boy 4 life

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Guess who’s back? It’s only Johnny Cooper, the Bay’s baddest ever bad boy. He got a present of the boxed set of Prison Break for Christmas and managed to escape from jail after watching them all. Once free, he decided to make straight for the Bay to tell them the good news. Unfortunately, Brad had left the bay so we won’t get to see him get the good kicking he deserves for being so boring.

Jack has told Sally that Summer Bay’s finest are on the case. How comforting must that be? I would have more faith in Colleen and Madge Wilkins trying to stop him than Jack and Fitzy. Ric was told to stay away as he might present a target for Johnny. With any luck he’ll target his hair.

Good authority

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

I have it, on good authority, that there will be a flashback to 1988 in Home & Away tonight.

That’s right folks, crank up the nostalgometer…

EDIT:  Little Sally is not back, I’ve been told…intriguing..

Derro alert

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

The bay’s first derro made an appearance today, and if it wasn’t Milco himself. He was given a free meal down the diner and then he stalks Sally on the beech at just the time that she was telling Pippa about him. So he wasn’t a figment of her imagination after all. If you’re thinking that it doesn’t make sense, then you’re right.

Sally spills the beans

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

Good lying from Ric. But what was even more impressive was his guilt tripping of Cassie so that she wouldn’t tell Matilda about him sleeping with Viv. By exposing her as a hypocrite, she felt obliged to keep quiet. Clever Ric. Pity he’s not clever enough to get his hair cut.

Sally told Rachel about her imaginary friend from all those years ago, Milco. We’ve featured Milco on the blog before. I wonder if the years have been kind to him? I would imagine that he’s done well and is an imaginary millionaire now. Made his imaginary money investing in imaginary property.

Isn’t little Pippa a very handy plot device? First she was drawing pictures to try and get Sally and Brad back together, now she says that she wants to go and visit him in Tasmania. I expect we’ll hear more about that.

Women’s perogative

Monday, November 26th, 2007

What is Sally at? Brad is waiting at the alter for her and she changes her mind. She’s some wagon.
