Rindi is dead

Indi and Romeo are absolute disgraces. They briefly spoke about ending their marriage, then went off pashing/next-level-ing with other people. I am glad they were so invested in their marriage that they could abandon it at the drop of a hat. TUT TUT.

Ruby declared her love for Romeo, but luckily he was too locked to hear her.

Dr. Sid made a great growling noise when he met Logan.

Gina got to the bottom of the Henri-Casey alliance, with the help of Veej. Henri is so stupid. Could she not have waited two months until Casey’s exams were over? She could hardly have expected him to have any sense, he’s a River Relative!

Haha Dex loves April and sees her as some kind of hair-tossing goddess. He was eyeing her up at Sasha’s 16th birthday party. Aww cute.

Sasha thought, now that she’s 16, she could take off to the Citee, and become a hairdresser, with Felix in tow. Sid put her straight. So she snuck out after dark.

Romeo and Indi are boring and possibly breaking up.

Brax’s intimidation of Steve got Ruby off the drug charge. So Morag’s off. I would like a Morag and Brax spin-off crimefighting show – “she’s above the law, he’s below it, together they are…”.

Ruby the drugs mule

Good woman Ruby, she managed to concoct a reason for Morag to stay in town. Ms. Buckton was used as a drug mule by her good friend Steve. Steve is such a good mate that he told the cops Ruby was dealing on the surfing circuit. Sound man Steve.

Romeo told Brax, who was instantly hot on Steve’s tail. I foresee some bashing.

Harvey is getting to know his ex and daughter again. Following some heavy-handed hinting from Marilyn, he told an unimpressed Roo. Harvey is a simpleton.

Harvey’s daughter is sarky and annoying. Just like Harvey, then.

Indi told Romeo off because he chose Ruby over surfing. Then Romeo saw a text from Logan on Indi’s phone. Good. I hope that puts manners on him.

Sasha’s salvation

Sasha’s trial continued but the young lady need fear not, Morag’s on the case. She cross examined Watson, and got her to admit that she used to think that it was a case of accidental death, not murder but her bosses told her to upgrade the case to murder. What’s going on? The jury finds Sasha not guilty, but Stu’s dad swears revenge. Xavier threw her into the ocean to celebrate, he’s a simple kid. They declared their love for each other and all’s well in the bay.

Morag is my favourite character in the show by miles. I’d watch a courtroom drama programme based on her cases – “Justice by Bellingham”, it would be class.

Ruby is continuing her liaison with Steve the surfer dude, who smokes spliffs down the beach. Rube’s not that impressed and doesn’t dig stoners. I don’t see this relationship continuing long term, especially as she’s still holding a candle for Romeo. Steve is playing the decent bloke but slipped a massive package of grass into her baggage ahead of the flight. That’s going to be hard one to explain when they get caught.

Marilyn has a new client in her hairdressing salon. This woman has a teenage daughter called Lottie and an ex husband who is none other than Roo’s boyfriend Harvey. This could get awkward, especially as she asked Harvey to move out of his own house so she and her daughter can move in.

So Sasha’s break-in didn’t go off as planned. In fact, she drew Ma Stu’s attention to the incriminating inscription. Duh.

Ma Stu is poisoning Da Stu, on account of him being a basher. Now Dr. Sid knows, and reported her to Watson and her boys in blue. Oooh Ma Stu.

Indi and Romeo have made up despite their dalliances (or not) with the opposite sex. They admitted to each that their marriage was a mistake. Double Duh.

In real-life news, I am getting a “Let’s die for love, you go first” tattoo.

Stu’s mum isn’t a big fan of Sid. She’s blaming him for the fact that her fella came into the hospital with heart trouble. The above quote was how she thanked him for saving his life.

Sid recomended to Indi that she talk to Romeo before jumping to any conculusions.Silly Sid, where did logic ever get anybody?

Indi and Romeo had a good diner based showdown followed by a blue on the beach. She doesn’t trust him even though he insists nothing happened. Romeo should really steer clear of Ruby for a while, even though he is innocent of what she claims he did.

Sasha and Xavier were worried about her impending murder trial. She left an incriminating note in Stu’s gaff and wanted to break in and get it. Even Xavier knew that a stupid idea and told her so. Silly Sasha went anyway and broke in when nobody answered the door, then hid under the bed when Ma Stu returned. Unsurprisingly, she got caught red handed trying to sneak out. This won’t look well in court.

Hoo-roo

“Hoo-roo!”, said Gina, as Henri set off for Casey’s house. What a wonderful expression.

Gina has lovely sunglasses. Also, she’s still v. cross with John. It’s quite entertaining. Sasha and Xavier engineered a dinner so that John and Gina would talk. It backfired.

Casey looks at Henri as if he wants to lick her. The cat is practically lepping out of that bag. She’s called it off (again).

Indi’s uni mate has a handsome, rich brother. Her husband is out of town with his ex-lover. It’s like something out of Mills and Boon. Indi went to surfertown and saw Ruby in what she thought was Romeo’s bed. Ruby talked Romeo out of going after Indi and he stupidly agreed. DICKHEAD.

I love my life as a dickhead

There were a lot of dickheads in tonight’s episode. Let us discuss:

Harvey. He’s always been one, in fairness. Points for consistency.
Roo. Sniffing around a dickhead makes her a dickhead by association. Also, the stupid jealousy-game-thing.
Romeo. For running out on a romantic night with the wife, in order to check on Ruby. I actually think Romeo is a bit simple. Did he ever heard of an invention called the phone, I wonder?
Indi. For not shouting at Romeo.
Brax. For having a blood and sand tattoo and also for fighting while concussed. It was impressive that he still won, though.
Leah. For being interested in Brax. He is a fool and not even nice to her. FOR SHAME, LEAH.

At least we have John Palmer.

There are a load of dickheads coming out of the woodwork at Summer Bay High, one of whom gave Sasha a fierce kick to the ankle. There’s also a strange nervy girl who seems scared of everything, who will probably dob the bullies in eventually.

Sasha received a load of emails with “Killer” in the subject line. Once she gets the all-clear from the YCPD, she should start threatening them all and playing up to that nickname. Apparently everyone loved Stu and now they’re very angry that he’s gone.

Gina was on the verge of making up with John when she saw Darryl “Brax” Braxton giving him money. Dammit.

Indi and Romeo managed to repair their relationship though. I hope Romeo can control himself at the surf comp. Ruby is pretty alluring with her crazy hair and clothes.

Where the eff are the rest of the Boys? There used to be a load of them knocking about on the beach and in the surf club. Now it’s just the Braxtons.

The party guy

Indi is pissed off as she has to make all of the money and Romeo gets to be the party guy. Romeo is concentrating on his surf practice alongside Ruby, but Indi is sick of telling him to be sensible. But she did agree to let him surf away to his hearts content on the circuit. Why didn’t he just tell her that Ruby was going too?

When did April become so conniving? She’s set Heath up to come over for dinner and said she’d be all alone. Unbeknownst to him, Bianca invited Henry over too. Henry then put her foot in it with Leah by implying that she was Brax’s girlfriend, didn’t go down too well.

Tyler is some dope. He said he’d fix the washing machine for Alf but ended up breaking the new motor part. Given that he isn’t a plumber, it ended up in a predictable disaster. Tyler freaked and ran to Casey for help, as is his wont. Casey gave him grief when he returned home and it sounds like we’ll finally find out the big secret of what happened in juvie. Maybe it’s that Casey dressed up as a lady in the prison stage production of Pygmalion.

Surfie 4 life

Romeo finally stood up to Indi and said he’s gonna be a surfie 4 life. She looked disgusted. He didn’t tell her Ruby is going to the next comp. Apparently she’s happiest on a board. First I heard of it.

Speaking of Mrs. Smyth, when does she go to college? She’s always in the bleedin’ diner.

Roo blew off dinner with Harvey at the last minute as Sasha the Basha needed her. Harvey found some young Sheila to show off and make Roo jealous.

Sasha’s off to stay with Morag for a while, the lucky yoke. She even remembered she had a brother and asked if he could come too. They’ll probably make him live in the toilet though.

Poor Stu’s ma all the same. Not only is her husband a thick, her son is dead. Sick for her.

Killer revealed

Who killed Stu? It was none other than his ex sheila, Sasha! She admitted it to Dr Sid, which is going to be a tough one for him. He was the prime suspect for the YCPD, now he knows how he can get out of line of fire but to do so, he’ll have to implicate his own flesh and blood. What a conundrum?

Romeo had a moment of clarity. His wife was on his case about getting a proper job but Romeo doesn’t react well to wearing a suit and hates engaging in business banter. After a quick chat with ex rockstar Liam, Romeo came up with a plan. He’s going to do what he loves and is good at, surfing professionally. I’m hoping it goes well for him but Indi didn’t look too impressed.

Roo pushed Harvey in the water, which convinced him to apologise for messing her around and offer her the old job back. She accepted, for the sake of the bay. I really hope that the two of them don’t end up back together. Harvey is a pain in the ass.

Police, politics and plots

What is Denis up to? Romeo saw him putting a body sized object into the boot of his car down on the resort building site. Romeo reckoned that John and Denis were trying to get Harvey out of the picture for good, then he saw Denis loading his car boot in the dead of night, what’s a boy to think? Sometimes 2+2 does not 5. I suspect Romeo’s suspicions will cost him his job and get him in trouble with his wife. Speaking of Indi, how does she have time for college, she has a job in the diner and another one working for Denis. Busy woman.

Xavier got accepted into the cops which was great for him if slightly surprising given the history of incompetent police activity (cousin Jack) and people smuggling (brother Hugo) in his family. He’s going to fit right in with the YCPD. He did a bit of preemptive social brown nosing by going for a drink with Constable Watson. She must be top dog since Charlie’s retirement/assassination. Given how fast things move, Xavier could be chief of police inside six months.

Bucks, bags and Bianca

It was a fairly eventful night in Summer bay what with Bianca’s hen and Liam’s stag. Liam asked Romeo to be his best man which seemed surprising but he doesn’t really have any other friends so it was the only option. Bianca is asking April to be her maid of honour which is fair enough but surprising in the fact it was such an orthodox choice. At her last engagement party she asked Charlie to be her MOH. Given that they had only known each other for about a week, I expected her to ask somebody she’d just met, like the new teacher Henry.

Bianca had her hen’s night in Irene’s house which seemed a strange choice, but there are only so many available venues in the bay. It was all going well when Roo suggested they turf the contents of each other’s bags on the floor. Messy. Then a stripper dressed as a Firie turned up only to leg it when he saw Bianca and Gina there. It turned out he was a ex-Summer-Bay-High student. They didn’t seem too bothered by alumni working as stippers.

Liam’s bash was on in Angelo’s courtesy of Brax. Heath turned up at the bucks night with the rest of the boys. Where were the boys when he was getting intimidated by Geoffrey King? Conspicuous by their absence. Geoffrey is leaving Brax alone now as Leah paid him off. Now Brax owes Leah $25k, all thanks to Heath. He would have been better off paying his brother the money to leave town, then he’d stop costing him money. How long will it be before Brax comes out of mourning and he starts getting it on with Leah?

Dex dilemma

What happened there? The short answer is not very much. Here are the bullet points:

Sid is struggling to cope with the fact that Dex doesn’t know what to do with his life and doesn’t want to follow in his footsteps but wants to be a nurse instead.
Irene collapsed in the hospital. She’s still feeling crook but it was only indigestion this time.
Xav admitted to Gina that he has the hots for Sash. He went for a pash on the beech but was knocked back. She promptly told him to keep his distance as she’s toxic.
Romeo hates his job working for Denis but is afraid to tell Indi. Turns out he’s decent at it despite himself and sold 5 apartments.
Harvey is causing havoc with the development and will do his best to block it if elected.

Hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.

Cops 1, Doctors 0

The future of the Bay is in good hands; Officer Xavier will keep its streets clean. Xave is so hot-headed that criminals will cower in fear. He went mental when he heard Stu had yet again taken up his mantle as Sasha Basha.

The health of the Bay is in question, though; soon the Walker family could be doctorless. Sid is up on charges, and Dex wants to be an engineer.

I was happy to see Romeo in a suit. He’s no natural salesman, though, trying to close the deal by using his surfie skills.

Elijah’s been kicked out of Leah’s Home for Ragamuffins now that Ruby is back. She didn’t visit a hairdresser in The City.

Bianca’s engaged again

Liam and Bianca are engaged. It must be at least two weeks since she had sex with another man, so fair enough. Good one by Liam taping the ring inside her motorbike helmet. I hope they invite His Royal Highness Vittorio.

Indi found out Romeo gave Mink their savings. She gave him a bollocking, and rightly so. I hope she still has her own bank account.

Romeo gave the weird spy fella info on the new development, which weird spy fella passed onto Harvey. Harvey announced this at a council rally, and everyone was strangely disgusted at what looked like a nice new development to me.

In terrible news, Miles is leaving. Sally got him a teaching job in Thailand, the wench. He can’t take being around Leah anymore. Boooo.

Lastly, I wish Colleen would call to my house with scones. She could nose around all she wanted.

Oh, actually, I forgot that Leah saw Little Brax when Big Brax and Charlie were having night-time boldness in the kitchen. Why don’t either of the lovebirds have their own house?

Mysterious silhouette

Who was the mystery weirdo watching Charlie and Brax having a pash? Wouldn’t it be deadly if it was Alf, and this was a hobby of his?

Anyway would Charlie and Brax ever eff off? She’s a cop and bad at her job. He’s a prior dealie (betcha that’s a word) with ties to his past. I get it, it’s a conflict. Zzzzzzzz

Miles found out about Elijah fancying Leah. He was heartbroken, poor thing. Leah doesn’t know, and has no interest in the Rev. Good woman Leah, he’s turned into a SAP. Miles is going to visit Sally in Thailand, hopefully he meets Cassie and Baby Henk too.

Romeo got yet another job, and immediately asked for an advance. My faith in his business acumen is dwindling by the day.

Sid and Roo are an item again. Turns out she loves paeLLa.

Mink out, Sasha bashed

So Doctor Sid discovered that Mink has a disease (which I can’t spell), which means she can’t surf professionally anymore. Romeo very soundly offered to share his surf teaching business with her, but she left town. She’ll be back.

Stew/Stu chased Sasha down when she refused a lift from him. Later she turned up with some torso bruises. Please let Sid batter Stew soon.

Alf is gathering the troops and organising his campaign. A mighty sight.
