April has been shopping in Luscious lingerie and she also bought some rubber johnnies. Bianca is a bit freaked by the fact that her little sister might be taking things to the next level but Irene told her to take a chill pill. Bianca tried to convince April that her first time should be with someone she loves, while April just wants to get it over with anyone and Xavier will do. Bianca and Liam are heading to the city, but she managed to convince April to hold off on the deflowering for now.

Dex and Dallas are building a nice relationship, especially now that Dex found out herself and her son live in a car. Dex is a sucker for a girl in need, given that he has a heart of gold. He even organised a van for her in the caravan park, fair play. He’ll need her as an object for his affections once he finds out that April is about to take her love to town.

Miles and Elijah had another showdown. Miles is well pissed off with the Rev, but still shook his hand as they said their goodbyes. I’ll miss Miles, he’s been a good addition to the bay, Roo and Alf are going to take over the caravan park. Farewell Milco, Australia’s loss is Thailand’s gain.

Bianca’s engaged again

Liam and Bianca are engaged. It must be at least two weeks since she had sex with another man, so fair enough. Good one by Liam taping the ring inside her motorbike helmet. I hope they invite His Royal Highness Vittorio.

Indi found out Romeo gave Mink their savings. She gave him a bollocking, and rightly so. I hope she still has her own bank account.

Romeo gave the weird spy fella info on the new development, which weird spy fella passed onto Harvey. Harvey announced this at a council rally, and everyone was strangely disgusted at what looked like a nice new development to me.

In terrible news, Miles is leaving. Sally got him a teaching job in Thailand, the wench. He can’t take being around Leah anymore. Boooo.

Lastly, I wish Colleen would call to my house with scones. She could nose around all she wanted.

Oh, actually, I forgot that Leah saw Little Brax when Big Brax and Charlie were having night-time boldness in the kitchen. Why don’t either of the lovebirds have their own house?

Who was the mystery weirdo watching Charlie and Brax having a pash? Wouldn’t it be deadly if it was Alf, and this was a hobby of his?

Anyway would Charlie and Brax ever eff off? She’s a cop and bad at her job. He’s a prior dealie (betcha that’s a word) with ties to his past. I get it, it’s a conflict. Zzzzzzzz

Miles found out about Elijah fancying Leah. He was heartbroken, poor thing. Leah doesn’t know, and has no interest in the Rev. Good woman Leah, he’s turned into a SAP. Miles is going to visit Sally in Thailand, hopefully he meets Cassie and Baby Henk too.

Romeo got yet another job, and immediately asked for an advance. My faith in his business acumen is dwindling by the day.

Sid and Roo are an item again. Turns out she loves paeLLa.

All change

Leah and Miles are no more. Both of them are pretty sad about it. Elijah is ALREADY sniffing around Leah, so Marilyn warned him off.

Marilyn also advised Dexter to apologise to April. He did so while wearing the worst suit of all time. Not only that, but April told him to get bent. She’s still annoyed with him, so she’s devised a plan to seduce some randomer at the formal. She confided in Ruby, who, unsurprisingly, thought it was a great idea.

Bianca is trying to keep Liam away from Brax, as the Rock Star still doesn’t know the truth about the accident. She won’t have to worry for too much longer, as Charlie and Brax are conspiring to leave town. Brax can’t stay around and resist The Boys.

Lady in Red

Hahaha did yis see Roo frolicking down the beach in her red tent/dress? What a pity it was Harvey waiting for her on the beach. Why doesn’t he go on a long, long charter and leave everyone in peace?

Mr. JP was struck off the council, and wants to spend his life savings on the development. Gina rightfully made a disapproving face. Harvey reckons he can win John’s old seat.

Charlie and Brax are living it up, going to the beach during the day, etc. How is Charlie paying rent if she’s not working?

Miles found out Leah is back in town. He confronted her about her lies. He should have confronted her about being a moany oul bag while he was at it. Future babies seems to be the crux of the issue, and neither of them are backing down.

Corpulence, conflict and corruption

Harvey is continuing to spread rumours about John Palmer and his corrupt ways. Roo got involved and asked him to stop, to no avail. Rumours tend to get believed in small towns like the bay so John’s in strife with the council now, they want him to resign. Harvey needs stopping asap.

Miles is heading for a fall. He seems to think himself and Leah are headed for a reconciliation but Leah has other ideas and lied to him on the phone. To top it all, Colleen told him that he was looking a bit fat. I’m surprised how thin he is considering he stuffs his face in most scenes.

Sash is in hospital with her infection. Stu had a showdown with Sid, who got a taste of his anger. The doc won’t let him anywhere near Sasha now. But he got the impression that Stu convinced her to get the tattoo, which isn’t true and she didn’t set her Dad straight, future conflict alert. Xavier seems happy enough to hang around the hospital, waiting for her condition to improve. Isn’t he a bit old for Sasha, she’s only 15.

I forgot about Harvey’s stupid face!
Also forgot about Sid’s declaration of love!
Harvey’s in the “barbecue area”.
Roo is keeping Harvey at bay cos of the doc.
Romeo slacking on his dinner preparations, very slow chopping.
Marilyn’s hair is lovely.
Roo and Marilyn having a girlie chat about boys.
Miles and Veej hanging out on beach.
Colleen driving sick Irene mad.
There’s going to be a surprise fundraiser for Irene.
Harvey putting pressure on Alf re: Blaxland.
“Just because I’m your son, doesn’t mean you can control everything I do”. Veej demands RESPECT.
Miles is very philosophical about the break-up. Veej thinks it’s Leah’s fault.

BREAK

Poor Irene is crying. Awwww. Cancer’s no joke.
Alf says Colleen’s mouth works overtime. He’s not wrong.
Irene is not on for leaving the house.

Leah and Miles blue-ing

This breakup is very difficult for Leah, Miles, Veej, and most importantly, me! I don’t know how much more moping, staring into the distance, talking to everyone but each other about it, crying over the answering machine, and general all-round misery I can take.

Romeo basically told Alf to sell Harvey the boat. I hope it blows up the first time he takes it out on the water, the big weird bastard.

We’ve had some comments that Alf had the best quote of all time in today’s episode, but I can’t remember it – what was it?

Update: I forgot about Charlie’s date with the robbery victim, and it being uncovered that Brax was the getaway driver in said robbery. Good police work by Constable Watson.

Harvey’s hoax

Harvey is some boy. He poured petrol on the Blaxland, then “saved the day” when Alf was around, blaming Romeo for the spill. He then offered to buy the boat. Luckily Liam saw Harvey on the boat with the petrol. Grr Harvey is such a weirdo.

Miles and Leah agreed to stay together, were back to normal for about five minutes, then had a row, and Miles moved out. Veej saw it coming. He might be the most sensible person in the Bay.

Indi got an internship with the dude who’s building the new resort. Hope he doesn’t turn out to be a perv.

Sickener!

There was a collective shout of OHHHHH in our house just now, as preteen Lily told prospective da Mark that mammy Gypsy was being bold on the beach with Liam Murphy, all-round rockstar. The only one I feel sorry for is Irene. She’s trying to recover from chemo in the midst of many dramas. At least her illness means she can get Lily to do the dishes.

Charlie was ready to ride Brax, but found his lawyer’s earring in his car. That car sees some action.

Leah is being a wagon to Miles. I hope they do break up. She’s telling him he pushed her into going ahead with the pregnancy. He did in his HOOP, Leah.

Braxton blowout

Not a great time to be a Braxton in the bay. Casey is in Juvie, but still able to talk to Brax on the phone. Heath is in trouble with his Neighbours, Gina and John, while the object of his affections Bianca wasn’t too impressed with his threatening of Gina. Brax is the only one who is enjoying himself. He got an earful from Charlie over the court case. You would think he’d be sick of her by now, but no. She only has to “say the word” and he’ll be there. In the meantime he’s going to enjoy himself with the hotshot lawyer who is mixing business with pleasure.

What’s Ruby going to do while Casey is doing hard time? Will she be able to wait for him? A month is a long time to be on one’s own in the bay.

Leah and Miles continue to struggle along. She seems to be doing anything she can to avoid him. She maintains that everything is ok but Miles seems unconvinced. Whither now for them both? Marilyn is doing all she can to help them but will it be enough? I fear not.

Party time

It was parties a-go-go in Summer Bay in that episode. Mr. JP was 50 and having a posh pizza dinner in Angelo’s with every local over 30. Gina was looking lovely. Harvey gatecrashed, Sid scowled, Leah moped, Miles drank and Romeo and Indi (under 30 but there anyway) crept off to consummate their marriage once again.

The under-30s were in the caravan park, where Dexter and April discovered Sasha’s nudie photos. It’s ok, she says everyone is doing it. Casey thought Ruby was with Xave, when in fact she was only trying to catch his eye. Anyway, they are friends again and she is going to wait for him if he has to do a few long months of juvie. I hope she can stick to that promise, she’s never without a man for long.

Braxton boycott?

Those Braxton boys are fierce hard to resist. Charlie was making pained faces as she tried to wean herself off Brax, again. Â She’s staying strong, for now, but I don’t see it lasting. Â Bianca nearly gave into temptation with Heath but stopped short of taking it to the next level with him. Ruby makes it a hat trick of babes besotted by Braxton with her continuing Casey conundrum. Â She wants him, he pretends he doesn’t want her. Â Ruby should give up on Casey and concentrate on other things. Â I reckon she could rent her hair out to the department of the environment as a wildlife sanctuary.

Leah is still struggling to come to terms with losing the baby. Miles is caught in the crossfire. I can’t see this lasting too much longer. Â She’ll ditch him and Elijah will mop up afterwards.

Return of the Rockstar

Liam Murphy took to the stage in Angelo’s and Gypsy was LOVING it. A budding romance, no doubt. Lily will be delighted. She thinks her ma is going to marry her flash boyfriend and leave her in the dust. That’s why she’s being such a brat.

Everyone is sad about Leah’s lost baby. Poor cute Veej was going to teach him to play football. Veej had a touch of Henry XVIII about him as he declared the baby was definitely a boy. Leah is pushing Miles away. Leah, noooooooooo!

Irene is doing it tough after her chemo. Her carers are terrible, they’re barely in the house to look after her. Plus they are both crushing on Rockstar Liam Murphy. LOVE TRIANGLE YO

Absolute corruption

Gina and the “save the school” crew are on the Dept. of Education. It turns out that they covered up the fact that the school wasn’t properly repaired after an earthquake in 2006. Inspector Xavier was the one who found the details in the school’s files. Â Now the school is going to rebuilt after all. Final score: citizens of the bay 1, department 0.

Poor Leah is in a bad way. Â It looks like she might have lost the baby. Veej called Miles, who was preoccupied with the school situation. Â When Miles didn’t answer he called Elijah who rushed over. Â He was there to comfort Leah, which is all well and good but wouldn’t he have been better calling Sid or the Ambos? No doubt Leah will now break up with Miles and get back with Elijah, who’s still holding a massive torch for her.

Crisis!

Ah, those Summer Bay folk are mad. Sid has a few drinks and falls asleep on the couch, and it’s a SITUATION! They wouldn’t be able to cope round our way.

Sid found out he has a new daughter, borne of an old flame who has since died. It looks like he’ll have to take on Sasha, and her little brother, too.

Indi and Romeo are broke. She wants to move back in with Sid.

Miles has moved in with Leah. They were quick to christen the bedroom.

Kelly quits

Kelly said her goodbyes to the bay and returned to the farm. Why is it that whenever somebody leaves the bay, they have to do it immediately? Nobody ever says, they’ll hang on until next week or next month. Â No time like the present I suppose. Â Xavier is crestfallen, another failed romance but this time it’s not down to his compulsive lying. Â He used both of his two brain cells to come to the conclusion that the solution was to run away from the bay and move to Kelly’s farm. Genius.

Brax told Darcy that he’s not her dad. Â Poor girl. Â She seemed let down. Â I feel sorry for her, having two mental cases like Teegan and Heath for parents.

Miles popped the question but Leah turned him down. Â Denied. Â Leah adopted a fairly unusual mindset for Summer Bay and said they should wait until the time is right, rather than rushing into a hasty decision. Â Never thought I’d hear anybody in H&A say something along those lines.

Miles and Leah had a blue as she didn’t realise he was still on anti-depressants. I forgot that myself; I’m surprised the writers remembered. Anyway they’re friends again now and he’s going to propose. Yahoo for Summer Bay weddings. Hope he doesn’t want to call the child Rabbit.

Sid’s ex, Jodi, is back, and…they’re not divorced! Sid forgot to tell Marilyn and Roo. How did he become a doctor? Indi is understandably raging with her ma for nicking her boyfriend. Watch out Romeo.

Jodi is of unspecified origin. How come it was never mentioned that the Walker children are half-foreign?

Let’s do the time warp again

Leah is only 3 weeks pregnant and yet she is already holding her belly, the classic h&a shorthand for being in the family way. Â Thankfully, Miles noticed this was ridiculous and told her so. Â I wonder if it will take her 9 months to go full term or will the Summer Bay time warp kick in, with her going into labour in about 9 weeks?

Brax is a fool for not insisting Tegan get a DNA test for Darcy. Â He knows she is a compulsive liar, so why is he taking her word for it now? Â Charlie will have a good excuse to do her moany face now that Brax told her to keep away.

I predict ructions between Roo and Sid’s ex. Â Just as Roo and Marilyn have resolved their differences, the writers have introduced a new female for Roo to compete with. Â No doubt Sid will fall under her spell for a while before coming to his senses. Â Roo seems to thrive on a bit of competition, let the best lady win.

I’ll put on the jug

Miles was on the horns of a dilemma. He wanted to tell Leah not to have an abortion, but he didn’t want to tell her what to do. They thrashed it out anyway and Leah decided to go ahead with the pregnancy. In the meantime, Miles went to Elijah for advice, but the Rev found it too close for comfort.

Brax got stabbed so did some injecting on himself, with Tegan as nursemaid. Good product placement for Dettol. Charlie found Jake in the boot of his car; he gave her a fair amount of cheek down the cop shop. Then intrepid Sergeant Buckton found Brax bleeding all over Angelo’s; she took him to the hospital for Dr. Sid to patch up. Tegan arrived and insinuated her daughter is also Brax’s. Cue pained face from Charlie.
