Liam’s jam/biro scars seemed to clear up between the first scene and the car auction. He got a bit of a land when Bianca tried to get him to buy a family car for when they start a family in the future.Liam isn’t ready to put his rock star past behind and bought another bike, much to Bianca’s chagrin.

April is organising a list of potential take it to the next level dudes. She met a bloke called Jonathan at the auction, who asked her to go to the formal with him. Could he be the one? Apparently not, she told him she’s not ready to move on from Dex yet. It’s between Xavier and Heath at the minute. Bianca is not impressed with her hanging around with Heath. Given how she’s going through a rebellious phase I fear she’ll opt for the bad boy. This good girl gone bad storyline reminds me of when Jade went off the rails and organised a sit in.

Marilyn organised a girly lunch for Irene with Colleen and Roo. Irene thanked the girls for standing by her during her cancer trials. What did she expect them to say, “I hear you’re sick so stay out of our way until you’re better”? They decided to invoke the dart arts by doing a tarot card reading. Unsurprisingly it predicted that somebody will die. Who could it be? Colleen lost the plot and Irene looked worried, so worried that she decided to make a will.

The new doc

Mink is hanging around like a bad smell. Somehow she thinks there is loads of money in the Bank of Romeo. Indi even offered to give her her day spa voucher, and she threw it on the ground. Inconsiderate cahhhhh. Romeo later said he’d have money for her by the end of the week. But Mink isn’t allowed to tell Indi. Bad move Romeo.

Sid met new Doctor Kerrie at Irene’s and asked her out for lunch. Irene found out Roo still has eyes for the doc and got into a terrible fluster. She told Sid, who wasn’t impressed with Kerrie’s lack of opinions anyway.

Stu made friends with Sid and got Sasha’s grounding lifted. Sasha reluctantly went to the beach with The Basher. Later Xavier found her moaning on a bench, and took her to hospital. I call infected tattoo. Xave must have enjoyed that, normally he’s the patient.

Liam is staying with Bianca in Irene’s house to recover from his jam stains. Where did Liam live before this, in a caravan? How much room is there in Irene’s house? Loads by the looks of it.

Bianca and April are having sisterly tiffs over their respective love lives. Usually it’s April who has more sense but Bianca looks smarter this time, moving on from Heath to Liam. April is displaying a lot of interest in Heath, an unhealthy amount. She must be very hot, she came home at night after a day out still wearing her bikini. Xavier set her up by tricking her into going to the pizzaria where Dex was waiting. April believed him that he didn’t do Dallas but still broke up with him over his boorish bragging.

Xavier seemed happy to see Mink and vice versa. She’s not back five minutes and is already causing trouble. She scabbed a free lunch from Indi and borrowed money from Romeo. Indi is wise to her scams but Romeo is too trusting. She wants to borrow money as she’s in a bit of strife but where is Romeo going to get two thousand dollars? He’s making a fortune teaching the schoolies to surf but that won’t go on forever. Indi wants him to think of the future but he can’t see past tomorrow, poor boy.

Argh, shut up about sport, RTE people!
I forgot about Harvey’s stupid face!
Also forgot about Sid’s declaration of love!
Harvey’s in the “barbecue area”.
Roo is keeping Harvey at bay cos of the doc.
Romeo slacking on his dinner preparations, very slow chopping.
Marilyn’s hair is lovely.
Roo and Marilyn having a girlie chat about boys.
Miles and Veej hanging out on beach.
Colleen driving sick Irene mad.
There’s going to be a surprise fundraiser for Irene.
Harvey putting pressure on Alf re: Blaxland.
“Just because I’m your son, doesn’t mean you can control everything I do”. Veej demands RESPECT.
Miles is very philosophical about the break-up. Veej thinks it’s Leah’s fault.

BREAK

Poor Irene is crying. Awwww. Cancer’s no joke.
Alf says Colleen’s mouth works overtime. He’s not wrong.
Irene is not on for leaving the house.
Alf’s under orders to wear pink for the fundraiser.

Hooning around like a wild hog

Liam’s in the hospital after colliding with Brax and Charlie’s cahhhh. I hope nothing happens to Xavier before the rockstar recovers, there’ll be no bed for him.

Heath and Bianca covered for Chax. Bianca is overly distraught, considering she and Liam are no longer an item.

Sid convinced Alf to hold off on the boat sale. Harvey is very anxious to close the deal. He called around to Romeo to give him a bollocking. Indi overheard and was shocked at Harvey’s extreme knobishness.

Sam admitted to driving the apple core getaway car, meaning Brax is off the hook. Charlie still resigned though. Boss Joyce was confused as to why.

Sid made a house call to Irene, who seems to have lost her hair overnight. That’s the end of her lovely new do! Roo called around and ad a blue with Sid, who ended up telling her Harvey is a fool and he still loves her. Awwww.

Home and Away is off the air now, until JANUARY 16th! How on earth will we manage?

Coleen came out with another classic line today, “what’s got you grinning like a chestnut cat?” Brilliant.

Irene is back at work but find it hard going. Having to listen to Coleen’s insane ramblings must make it tough.

Charlie and Bianca went on a girlie weekend away. Bianca is some masochist, putting herself through 24 hours alone with Charlie. Chaz is feeling guilty after putting her job at risk over Brax. He viagra up to keep an eye on her. They ended up together, big surprise. Then Brax ran Liam off his bike on the way home. Bianca didn’t deal with it too well. Maybe there’s still something there between the two of them?

Sasha got another beating from Stew. She keeps getting bashed but she keeps coming back for more. That poor kid needs to get over her self loathing. Sid is going to find out and then there will be some serious beatings.

Dux

The net is closing in on April, albeit veeeeery slowly. Sid discovered pages missing from his prescription pad and reported it, but told Charlie he thinks Stu did it. Charlie called to Brax to find out, only to see him playing happy couples with the lawyer and a load of fruit. She later cried to Charlie, saying “it’s really over”. Brax deleted Charlie from his phone. Hopefully now they’ll be sworn enemies. Entertaining.

Sasha gave out to Stu for hitting her, so he bought her a massive ring. I foresee more bashings in her future. I also have my fingers crossed that Sid will eventually bash Stu.

Bianca and Irene think April’s behaviour is fishy. She won Dux of the school, whatever that is. Bianca was thrilled, but Dr. April just looked bamboozled. Curious.

A slap in the face

What happened to Sasha and Stew? She was professing her love for him to Indy and saying how well things are going. She did have the sense to tell him that she’s not ready to “take it to the next level”, which was sensible. That sense deserted her when it came to dressing up for her date with Stew, she looked somewhat ridiculous, which goes to prove that she is a Walker, taking after Indy. So she went out for a ride in Stew’s awesome green machine and he gave her abuse for not texting him back. But the verbals weren’t enough and he slapped her in the face! I hope she sees sense and kicks him to the kerb. No doubt she’ll forgive him, tell herself he’s changed, until he does it again.

Were there any other violent relationships recently? I was casting my mind back to see if I could remember them. Did Kane hit Kirsty at some stage? Maybe I’m slandering him incorrectly. I’ve a feeling we’ve had this storyline before, “what’s new with that” I hear you say.

April is a right little addict these days. Robbing prescription papers from Sid, where will it end? Did she get the wrong tablets for Irene? That didn’t seem clear. Irene seemed very pepped up once she took what April gave her. Irene’s going to end up addicted to pro plus and caffeine tablets.

And just like that, Gypsy’s off again. Well, not really; Irene told her to eff off as she was no help and didn’t even keep the house stocked with tea bags. Tea bags – a household staple! Gypsy tied up her loose ends by getting dumped by Mark, chatting to Liam, finding out he still lurves Bianca, and telling Bianca exactly that.

April is looking for performance-enhancing drugs for the HSC. She asked a trainee doctor and a drug dealer before robbing Sid’s prescription pad. She thought he nabbed her when he asked what was she doing with that, but the that in question was in fact the rum and raisin ice-cream that Dexter scoffed. Phew.

There was a collective shout of OHHHHH in our house just now, as preteen Lily told prospective da Mark that mammy Gypsy was being bold on the beach with Liam Murphy, all-round rockstar. The only one I feel sorry for is Irene. She’s trying to recover from chemo in the midst of many dramas. At least her illness means she can get Lily to do the dishes.

Charlie was ready to ride Brax, but found his lawyer’s earring in his car. That car sees some action.

Leah is being a wagon to Miles. I hope they do break up. She’s telling him he pushed her into going ahead with the pregnancy. He did in his HOOP, Leah.

Juvie

Aww poor Casey, the best of the Braxtons, is off to Juvie for the grand total of…30 days! As we know, 30 days is a long time in the Bay. Xavier will probably have suffered four more injuries when Casey’s released. Ruby will definitely have met a new beau. Charlie will be back from wherever she is. Irene will be wearing makeup again. In short, the face of Summer Bay will have changed forever.

How will Casey cope with being an ex-con? I reckon he’ll be hardened up on the Inside, and once released, will have no interest in study or the HSC. He’ll probably fight off Ruby’s probable posse of suitors and pimp her out. Hopefully he’ll fix her hair too.

Casey, this one’s for you.

Bayside story

What’s going on with Liam and Bianca now? I thought they were broken up, for good this time. But when Liam called over to Heath’s gaff to find her in his robe, he was severely miffed. He stormed off for a mope thinking she was with Heath.

Gypsy had a row with Lily and went for a walk which meant that she bumped into Murph. She didn’t seem too bothered by the fact that she has a boyfriend and indulged in some extra curricular liaisons with the rockstar/waiter. Cue Bianca finding them caught up in their passion?

What is Harvey playing at? Romeo is dead sus, thinking his plan is to do him out a big charter business. He even tried to warn Roo off him, to no avail. She seems happy enough with him, for now. I can’t see it lasting given his devious nature.

The h&a makeup artists deserves credit for Irene’s complexion in recent episodes. She looks like death warmed up. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see her turn up in an episode of the Walking dead.

Return of the Rockstar

Liam Murphy took to the stage in Angelo’s and Gypsy was LOVING it. A budding romance, no doubt. Lily will be delighted. She thinks her ma is going to marry her flash boyfriend and leave her in the dust. That’s why she’s being such a brat.

Everyone is sad about Leah’s lost baby. Poor cute Veej was going to teach him to play football. Veej had a touch of Henry XVIII about him as he declared the baby was definitely a boy. Leah is pushing Miles away. Leah, noooooooooo!

Irene is doing it tough after her chemo. Her carers are terrible, they’re barely in the house to look after her. Plus they are both crushing on Rockstar Liam Murphy. LOVE TRIANGLE YO

Confined spaces

Just how big is Irene’s house? There are hordes living there now. Nerves are starting to fray. April sounds like a middle aged mother, frazzled by bickering teens.

Does Heath just hang around Angelo’s in his vest, threatening customers when the need arises? Bianca and Gypsy seemed happy enough with the results, sleezy suit guy being told to leg it. He saved her from him twice in the one night, good way to get into her good books.

Liam is at a pretty low ebb at the moment. Dumped and working a waiter job with very little prospects. He should get back to his music. I can see a follow up to “Kisses hurt so much” on the horizon.

Casey did a pretty good job lying to Charlie. She seemed convinced by his alibi. Casey may have actually pulled off a masterstroke by burning down Jake’s HQ and saving Brax from himself. Brax has neither murder charge and jail or blood on his hands to deal with. All he has to do is make sure Casey can keep one step ahead of Charlie, which shouldn’t be too hard, she’s hardly the sharpest tool in the box.

Mr. Braxton McBraxerton didn’t get to kill Hammer’s drive-by bud at Tegan’s funeral, because his ma snitched to the pigs in an effort to keep her son on the straight and narrow. The shooter was some nondescript fool under Hammer’s control. Poor fella. Charlie and Constable Watson fairly put manners on him.

Brax then decided to just shoot Hammer, so said goodbye to Ma Braxton and went back to his house for the gun. Charlie and Constable Watson came to the door and hauled him down to the cop shop. Foiled again! Someone burned down Jake’s gang headquarters. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a sign saying “Gang HQ” over the door. Brax denied all knowledge. Who did it then?

Cut to Casey going mental in the kitchen, covered in soot. Tut, tut Case. We all thought you didn’t “have it in you”.

Also, Irene is home from hospital, Gypsy and April rowed over cleaning, Gypsy has a new fella, Lily hates him. Ta-dah!

Hammertime

Oh holy night, Hammer is the worst baddie ever depicted on screen. His delivery is quite bizarre. It’s obviously supposed to be threatening, but it is coma-inducing. Anyway, Brax will hopefully finish him, with his illegally obtained firearm.

Brax told Heath he’s going legit once Hammer’s out of the picture. What a strange way of cleaning up your act. He’s clearly never heard of revenge killings.

Irene had her mastectomy, but still needs chemo. Bianca stayed by her side for all of two minutes, till Liam showed up. They’re finished and Bianca is after Heath now. She has a short memory as well as being easily distracted.

Storm warning

It seems the Bay, just like real life Dublin, is suffering from extreme weather conditions. That’s some coincidence considering that while the downpour was happening yesterday, I thought what we need now is Alf and the emergency rescue team in the orange suits.

Gawd save Ireland, Irene is having it tough. The cancer needs to be operated on but she’s told Leah and she’s ready to tell everybody about her cancer. That will be a weight off April’s young shoulders who was carrying the burden on her own.

Indi gets a lot of slagging on this blog for her insane outfits but her vest with the cat on it today was lovely on her. Fairplay, for once.

Feck that poor wee half-wit River Boy got his terrible tattoo cut off, after Charlie broke up the worst gang face-off of all time. Did you see Jake’s crew? I could’ve taken them on myself. They weren’t even topless!

April had a snoop in Irene’s bag and found out about her breast cancer. Naturally, Irene wants it kept secret. They love secrets in Summer Bay.

Gang wars

Heath is turning up the heat in the latest gang war to hit ~~South Central L.A.~~ Summer Bay. After his beating from Hammer and Jake’s crew, Heath was determined to exact revenge. Brax told him to lay off but he didn’t listen. He uttered his famous war cry “come on boys” and they thrashed Hammer’s car. Hammer followed Heath’s lead and took Heath’s car for a joyride and burned it out. I assume they’ll all behave like adults now and leave it at that.

Poor Irene had her biopsy results in the hospital. Doctor Noname sat her down and didn’t look best pleased with the results. On top of her health troubles, Irene had to listen to Liam and Bianca rowing again. Liam is hitting the skids, no job, no girl, no car, no house, his luck has to turn one of these days.

Irene gets a storyline

In today’s episode, Marilyn talked Jessica the bride out of getting married. She robbed Leah of an order in the process. Jessica seemed fairly simple and downtrodden, so I’m surprised she took action.

It looks like Irene might have breast cancer. No-one has even noticed she’s out of sorts. Bianca broke up with Liam and is moping around. April’s too busy giving Bianca advice. Irene even had a slow-motion, soft-focus scene and still no-one copped on.

Roo called around to check on Sid. In return, he gave her a tongue-lashing over walking out on the Walkers. He’s a cheeky doctor.
