All out war

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

Hammer will be annoyed that he missed all of the fun and games in the surf club. He was stuck on a back road getting his car searched by Constable Watson while it was all going down. Heath, Brax and all the rest of the boys took on some very old looking members of Jake’s crew. They should have had mercy on them, they must be some losers if they’re still hanging around the surf club, playing at gang stuff at their age.

Sasha turned up at the hospital after Sid cancelled on her. She has something of Indi about her with her constant pouting and sarcastic jibes. Sid took her in giving us another troublesome teen to throw into the mix, just what the Bay needs. They’ll need to add some more young characters for her to hang around with, is she too old for VJ to have a crush on?

Burying the hatchet

Thursday, October 6th, 2011

Indi managed to get over herself and talk to her ma, for Dexter’s sake.  Very progressive of her.  What kind of an accent does Jodi have anyway?  Roo is having problems accepting second best in Sid’s priority list and kicked him to the curb.  Roo doesn’t have much luck in love by all accounts.

Alf is a big cricket legend apparently.  No doubt he was the inspiration for Shane Warne and the Aussie team.

I felt a bit sorry seeing Liam ask Romeo for a job.  He must be desperate.  It’s not that long since Romeo was working for Liam, fixing up his gaff.  How the tables have turned. He is being very helpful and sympathetic to Bianca, she let him stay over.  In fairness, why are herself and April still living with Irene?  It’s about as logical as Charlie and Ruby still living with Leah.

Xavier hits the skids

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

“That boy is heading for a fall” is what I thought looking at today’s episode. Little did I realise that it would arrive before the end of the show.

He’s in the midst of a period of strife. April & Dexter’s betrayal has hit him hard and he’s in a bad place mentally. Sure he didn’t even feel like earning an honest living delivering pizza, hooning off with Summer was a preferable way to occupy his time. Not happy with mitching off work, he stole a work vehicle and took a passenger. Their joyride didn’t last and they ended up in a heap at the side of the road. I don’t fancy Summer’s chances given that she’s such a minor character, they’re easily expendable. If Gina doesn’t kill Xavier when she finds out, Brax will.

What’s up with Indi? She threw a strop over Roo & Sid despite the fact herself and her bloke are living with Roo. Talk about biting the hand that feeds. There has to be more to it than that. Could it be that married bliss isn’t all she had hoped it would be? If they do break up, it will be setting a new record for short lived relationships. The summer bay time-warp strikes again.

Aloha!

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

Would you like to do the hula hula and go surfing, while listening to the ukulele? If yes then Hawaii is the place for you and for the cast of Summer Bay. Budgets must be boosted if they can afford location shooting like this.

Marty, the American guy, said he found Roo by asking the hotel manager who she was. I imagine he told him to look for the woman in the mad dress.

Who knew Indi is a business student at Uni? That seemed to pass me by. Maybe she’ll be the new Apprentice for Lord Sugar. Romeo doesn’t seem to have much of a business head on him so she could help him with the charter business, that’s if Marty doesn’t poach her for his business/bed.

But Romeo’s not as dum as he looks. In order to protect his future with young Indigo, he decided to lock in the value of his current investment. Not only did he propose to her, he went on to suggest a wedding in Hawaii. Even by Summer Bay standards, that’s breakneck speed. Sid is going to be drinking for years to get over this one.

Farewell Nicole & Angelo

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

I’ll miss Nicole and Angelo. Don’t think I can say the same for baby George as I haven’t had as much time to get to know him. They had some good storylines in fairness. What about the time Nicole trying it on with holy Geoff? Who can forget the time that Angelo shot his colleague Jack? How we laughed.

The bay will be a duller place without them. At least we have Marilyn to keep us amused. Child kidnapping isn’t a bad way to keep the town talking. Luckily for her, Nic isn’t pressing charges so she got away with that one.

Is Roo some kind of world class problem solver? She’s a one woman A-team. She defused the kidnapping situation and made sure George got back to Nicole in one piece. I wonder if part of her wouldn’t have minded to see Marilyn locked up, leaving a clear path to Sid. Given her mental state and all of the flirtatious texting going on, I think the doctor would be on for that scenario too.

Romeo’s revolt

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

School is such a drag. Gina and Miles were getting me down, trying to get me to follow the rules and go to class.  There’s no way I’m going to let them tell me, Romeo, what to do.  That’s why I’ve decided to tell them to stick it.  Gina, Miles, the HSE, they can all rack off.

But Indi is the one I have to thank for all this.  Firstly, she breaks it off with me, because I slept with Ruby.  Now she starts calling me a tool for quitting school!  It’s her fault that I’m back there in the first place.  If I hadn’t failed the first time round to be with her, I could have been out of that place months ago.

Well I don’t have to care about any of that stuff anymore.  Now I can spend my days surfing and pashing girls behind the surf club.  This is going to be great.

Second chance for love?

Monday, April 18th, 2011

It was a second first date for Indigo and Romeo.  He sent her a hamper and that persuaded her to let him take him on a picnic by the sea.  They went through a “getting to know you” stage and asked all the right questions.  But despite some progress, Indy couldn’t help but imagine Romeo with Ruby, rather than with her.  She clearly wanted to work out but couldn’t get over her feeling of hurt and betrayal with him.  When she figured out that she can’t get over it, she decided to end it, FOR GOOD!  Poor Romeo was heart-broken but he only has himself and his wayward mickey to blame.  Sid will be happy, he didn’t seem impressed with her giving Romeo a second chance.

Easy street

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

Charlie reckons that Ruby is easy after she slept with Casey in the back of Xavier’s car.  This is quite rich given Charlie’s past behaviour.  Ruby pointed out the obvious contradiction and double standards which didn’t go down well with her Ma. Ruby may be going off the rails but she still knows how to win an argument with Charlie.

Charlie then had a chat with Brax and he talked her into letting Casey see more of Ruby.  I think she has the hots for him but is fighting it and hates herself for liking him. I give it a few weeks before she gives in and starts going out with him.

Ruby had the last laugh by telling Indy that she slept with Romeo, in front of the whole diner! Poor Indy didn’t know where to look. Romeo is a dope for thinking that he could get away without telling Indi, no secret stays secret for long in the bay. Ruby must be very proud of herself after spoiling things for Indy.

It started with a kiss

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Brax really should start listening to some Liam Murphy song lyrics.  If he did then he would learn that kisses hurt so much. Then he wouldn’t have tried to kiss Charlie, now the pain of that stolen kiss will cost him a night in the clink.  Dum Brax.

Roobs is pissed off too. Her night of illicit love with Romeo has plunged her into a self destructive spiral. She hospitalised herself with her insulin and then went into a mad sulk. She reckons Romeo took advantage of her and she wants revenge. No doubt Indy will learn the truth before long. Romeo will live to rue his lusty loins.

Did you hear VJ telling Thabo who his favourite football team are?  He said Juventus but pronounced it JEWventus.  Doesn’t sound like the writers know that much about the subject. Veej reckons everybody wants to play for them, maybe that was true in 1996 but far from reality today.

Mitzi bhocht

Friday, November 19th, 2010

Well, that’s the end of Mitzi. She did some good stirring before she headed off to the old psychic’s home in the sky. She told Marilyn she made up her death vision, then separately, told Sid it was real. So her annoying storyline lives on. I bet sometihng dramatic will happen to Marilyn that day, but she won’t die.

Indy put on some clothes and decided to write her ma a letter, expressing her feelings about Mommy robbing her boyfriend. My feelings are – yuck.

Dexter’s Laboratory ran out on his date with Pet Shop Girl to get advice from Romeo and Indy. Understandably PSG effed off.
