There was a collective shout of OHHHHH in our house just now, as preteen Lily told prospective da Mark that mammy Gypsy was being bold on the beach with Liam Murphy, all-round rockstar. The only one I feel sorry for is Irene. She’s trying to recover from chemo in the midst of many dramas. At least her illness means she can get Lily to do the dishes.
Charlie was ready to ride Brax, but found his lawyer’s earring in his car. That car sees some action.
Leah is being a wagon to Miles. I hope they do break up. She’s telling him he pushed her into going ahead with the pregnancy. He did in his HOOP, Leah.
Not a great time to be a Braxton in the bay. Casey is in Juvie, but still able to talk to Brax on the phone. Heath is in trouble with his Neighbours, Gina and John, while the object of his affections Bianca wasn’t too impressed with his threatening of Gina. Brax is the only one who is enjoying himself. He got an earful from Charlie over the court case. You would think he’d be sick of her by now, but no. She only has to “say the word” and he’ll be there. In the meantime he’s going to enjoy himself with the hotshot lawyer who is mixing business with pleasure.
What’s Ruby going to do while Casey is doing hard time? Will she be able to wait for him? A month is a long time to be on one’s own in the bay.
Leah and Miles continue to struggle along. She seems to be doing anything she can to avoid him. She maintains that everything is ok but Miles seems unconvinced. Whither now for them both? Marilyn is doing all she can to help them but will it be enough? I fear not.
Aww poor Casey, the best of the Braxtons, is off to Juvie for the grand total of…30 days! As we know, 30 days is a long time in the Bay. Xavier will probably have suffered four more injuries when Casey’s released. Ruby will definitely have met a new beau. Charlie will be back from wherever she is. Irene will be wearing makeup again. In short, the face of Summer Bay will have changed forever.
How will Casey cope with being an ex-con? I reckon he’ll be hardened up on the Inside, and once released, will have no interest in study or the HSC. He’ll probably fight off Ruby’s probable posse of suitors and pimp her out. Hopefully he’ll fix her hair too.
Those Braxton boys are fierce hard to resist. Charlie was making pained faces as she tried to wean herself off Brax, again. She’s staying strong, for now, but I don’t see it lasting. Bianca nearly gave into temptation with Heath but stopped short of taking it to the next level with him. Ruby makes it a hat trick of babes besotted by Braxton with her continuing Casey conundrum. She wants him, he pretends he doesn’t want her. Ruby should give up on Casey and concentrate on other things. I reckon she could rent her hair out to the department of the environment as a wildlife sanctuary.
Leah is still struggling to come to terms with losing the baby. Miles is caught in the crossfire. I can’t see this lasting too much longer. She’ll ditch him and Elijah will mop up afterwards.
Casey is royally screwed now. YCPD snared him on cctv heading to Jake’s and coming back. Doesn’t tally with his alibi of being in bed sick.
Heath told Casey that he had to leg it, go on the run. So eff the HSC, it’s a life of crime for him. Ruby is distraught and will have to pine for him while he’s away. How long before Ruby spills the beans to Charlie?
The tension between Bianca and Gypsy is simmering away. Does Bianca want Liam back? Himself and Gypsy reckon not but she doesn’t want him to be with anyone else, namely Gypsy. Little Lily clearly favours the Ireland’s own Murphy over her mother’s current boyfriend, and tried to blackmail her into choosing Liam. Lily has a bit of a divil in her, taking after her mother.
Indi was heading out and when Romeo asked where, she said “dinner with a girlfriend”. What girlfriend, Indi? How come Romeo doesn’t know her?
Sasha and Roo are friends again after the date understanding. Romeo and Sid are drinking buddies now. They both think Harvey’s the root of their problems.
April and Xave headed up a protest at the school in an effort to stop the bulldozers. The cops had to step in. They were new cops, not Charlie, or Watson, or even Fitzy. But the demolition was put off by a day. A small victory.
Only today did I realise what I should have called Monday’s blog post: please Hammer, don’t hurt ‘em. Alas, it’s too late for that now as the bauld Hammer is little more than the contents of a body-bag. There we must say goodbye to the bay’s most ridiculous villain of all time. I’ll miss Hammer if only for his ludicrous threats and posturing.
Charlie is all a fluster now that she’s been suspended. I’d say we got about 30% more “Charlie face” than usual. She’s suspended and needs to go up the coast to get her head sorted. Not only that but she’s copped onto the fact that Brax played her yet again. Why doesn’t she just give up on him? She should go for somebody with a similar IQ to herself? I think Felix is single.
Casey is trying to put his life back on track by finishing school and getting back with Ruby. Only problem is that his recent gang activities like burning down Jake’s base, may catch up with him. Brax reckon’s it’s all sorted, but I’m not so sure. Brax should try to pin it on Charlie, she’d probably believe him if he tried to persuaded her.
I’ve decided it’s about time that Constable Watson got a nickname. Following on from the fine tradition of the first sidekick cop, Constable Lara”Fitzy” Fitzgerald, I can now announce that Charlie’s sidekick will be known as Constable Georgina “Watsy” Watson. Bonza.
Hammer kidnapped Charlie and used her as bait for Brax. He intended to kill them both. He managed to make this very dangerous situation EXTREMELY TEDIOUS. Anyway Charlie shot him, just in the nick of time. I reckon Charlie and Brax should form a crime-fighting duo.
Gypsy’s oul lad stood her up, and Harvey is persuing Roo fervently, bringing her flowers every day until she goes on a date with him. Romantic, no? No.
Just how big is Irene’s house? There are hordes living there now. Nerves are starting to fray. April sounds like a middle aged mother, frazzled by bickering teens.
Does Heath just hang around Angelo’s in his vest, threatening customers when the need arises? Bianca and Gypsy seemed happy enough with the results, sleezy suit guy being told to leg it. He saved her from him twice in the one night, good way to get into her good books.
Liam is at a pretty low ebb at the moment. Dumped and working a waiter job with very little prospects. He should get back to his music. I can see a follow up to “Kisses hurt so much” on the horizon.
Casey did a pretty good job lying to Charlie. She seemed convinced by his alibi. Casey may have actually pulled off a masterstroke by burning down Jake’s HQ and saving Brax from himself. Brax has neither murder charge and jail or blood on his hands to deal with. All he has to do is make sure Casey can keep one step ahead of Charlie, which shouldn’t be too hard, she’s hardly the sharpest tool in the box.
