Safe house

Monday, October 13th, 2014

Brax just cannot help himself. If there is a problem to be fixed, he can’t ignore it for long. He gave Andy money from Angelo’s, as a loan, to pay off the dealers. Andy disappeared and now there are angry dealers and an angry Kyle to put up with. The newest Braxton is not impressed that his managerial status was undermined.

We haven’t actually seen the dealers. It would be great if they were really posh, or old women, or something unexpected like that. Or if Morag was their ringleader, or Colleen. Awesome.

Ricky was winning in the mad fashion stakes today. Behold:

Gúna úafasach

Gúna úafasach

Marilyn finally confessed that she’s invited Shandi to the wedding. John didn’t mind too much, but now he’ll have to tell Jett he has a daughter. Eh, surely that came up in the adoption process, no?

Drunk Leah

Wednesday, October 8th, 2014

Leah and Sophie went to lunch in Angelo’s, to have a very civilised face-off. A few home truths were declared, and a few glasses of wine drunk. Sophie suggested Leah should get back on the dating scene. Chris, who had been eavesdropping for some reason, told the two ladies they were rides. Nate came to collect Sophie (who is still untrustworthy in my book), and Leah stayed on, drinking and giving Zac the mickey eye. Drunk Leah is the best.

Chris and Denny went for dinner, strictly on a just-friends basis, but he ruined it all by trying to kiss her at the end of the night. THE DOPE.

Pizza frisbee

Tuesday, September 9th, 2014

Irene invented a new sport today by hurling one of Angelo’s finest take away pizzas off the end of the pier. Sasha jumped into the water to rescue it because she was worried about the environmental impact. The end result was that Sasha got her job back as she covered at the diner.

Brax is still moping over the fact that his brothers can take care of themselves. He is missing the drama but it led him to believe that he did a good job in helping them, maybe he’s ready to have a baby with Ricky now?

Kyle and Phoebe tried to rent a flat but didn’t get one due to his name and criminal ways. Why should he still be punished for his past? He’s a reformed man now and hasn’t kidnapped anybody in weeks.

Ozone gave out to Zac for his bum advise which resulted in his bashing. He said Zac is still hung up on Hannah and can’t focus on the twins. Andy got praise from Hannah for helping Zac but it looks like he had a secret drug stash taped under his caravan, she won’t be impressed when that comes to light.

Drop the bomb

Thursday, May 29th, 2014

Casey is struggling to adjust after Brax dropped the Barrett bombshell. He didn’t want to discuss it with Brax, he just walked off for a mope in the gym on his own. Andy told Casey he quit the gym job, then told Josh to stay away from his long lost bro. Brax came into the gym to confront Casey and they went for a drink in Angelo’s. Casey lost it when he found out that everyone in the Bay knew about his parentage before he did and the restaurant descended into a mass brawl, it was like a scene from Roadhouse.

Sasha met Matt at the diner and told him that she’s leaving the bay for a while. She’s off to visit Sid and Indi in Broken Hill. She gave Matt a pep talk about his future but he has no plans, just hanging around, waiting to see if a job lands in his lap.

Phoebe is trying to get Kyle to sack her. Why doesn’t she just quit? Very strange behaviour. It worked in the end, kind of, she quit at the same time as he fired her so they both got what they wanted.

Alf’s aces high

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

There was a girlie night in aid of Roo at the caravan park. All of the Bay’s female population were there along with Alf who cleaned up at the poker table. Roo was temporarily distracted by the fun but she’s still having a hard time adjusting to his absence.

Harvey is hanging out in John’s house, or should I say hiding out. Spencer went over for a talk, trying to get him to come back to his wife but he wasn’t budging. He wants to leave the Bay but Roo isn’t willing to go. This is an insurmountable problem. She called over to John’s and asked him for a divorce.

Kyle let Tamara off easy for her final shift at Angelo’s. Then he called over to Phoebe’s caravan for a jam and a flirt. He told her he feels he belongs in the Bay and is happy to be a Braxton. He tried to kiss her which caused her to call it a night. What is she up to? I don’t really understand why she is sticking around town, unless it’s just an attempt to win Kyle back.

Sasha has decided she wants to become school captain, it’s a great idea, she is a leader of men and women. I would vote for her. Spencer is going to help, maybe he’ll be her campaign manager/press officer, the Alastair Campbell to her Tony Blair.

Moving forward

Thursday, March 20th, 2014

Sean spent the episode throwing his weight around, trying to intimidate and kidnap half the bay. He had Andy cornered in the caravan park and was starting to bash when Casey turned up at the head of the Boyz, it’s great to see the old gang back together. Casey managed to face him down which saved Andy’s bacon. Kyle got the hump that he wasn’t invited along for the gang war so he met Sean later and brought him to Angelo’s, trying to pay him off. Sean was ungrateful and didn’t accept Kyle’s offer of a payoff to walk away. He swung but clearly didn’t realise who he was messing with, Kyle made dirt of Sean, and kicked him out of his blood stained restaurant. When Casey turned up asking after Sean’s whereabouts, Kyle pleaded ignorance, saying he had no idea where Sean had got off to.

A short while later he turned up in Irene’s. Bashed, bloody but unbowed, he still found time to threaten and intimidate a few more cast members, namely Irene, Sasha, Spencer and Chris. He has them prisoner in their own home now, which is lovely and tidy after the slave labour the kids have to put in for partying too hard in Irene’s gaff.

Harvey is still trying to figure out who he is since he returned from his ordeal. He spent the night outdoors, sleeping rough under the stars. I wonder if he would like a go at Sid’s ditch, it’s free now the good Dr. has left town.

So many questions

Thursday, January 23rd, 2014

Throughout that episode, I mostly asked questions. Like:

  • Where’s VJ?
  • Did Oscar really have that bad a first day at school?
  • How many people live in Leah’s? Seven apparently.
  • Why is Ricky still living in the Braxton house?
  • Who is in charge of Angelo’s? Surely not Kyle?
  • Is Montgomery the one who graffiti’d Bianca’s office?
  • How come Montgomery is allowed to treat students like dirt? No staff reviews there obviously.
  • Why did the doc allow Josh to stay at home?

Argggghhhhhhh.

The rescue attempt

Thursday, January 16th, 2014

Sasha is not happy with seeing  Spencer throw his life away in the cult. She went to confront him about it but he’s bought into their “evolvement” process, he’s drinking the cultish kool-aid.  Sasha was asked to leave but Evelyn told her that she will try to help Spencer on the inside.  Sasha told Oscar that Evelyn misses him, the twins are finding it hard to live apart.  Spencer was asked to go on their next discovery weekend and Evelyn asked if she could go too, hopefully she’ll be rescued before it gets too hairy.

Heath continued on his quest to become the new Brax.  He even called a family meeting to discuss reopening or selling Angelo’s.  Casey voted for reopening so they’re all going to get their old jobs back and Kyle is still the manager.  Heath may be doing a good job as boss of the family but he has knocked his study idea on the head and threw his fitness instructor books out.  Kyle found them and showed Bianca so the cat is out of the bag now, she knows her fella is trying to de-stupify himself and she’s proud.

Bianca has the department in her ear over taking in children from the Mangrove River school.  Maybe this could be an excuse for introducing some troubled teens?

Me heart is broke

And apparently, Heath and Xavier are mates.

It was Gina’s funeral and there was a great turn-out. Marilyn wore a fascinator, Maddie got the violin involved, there were Austin roses, and two brothers missing. Officer Xavier Austin stepped up to the plate and eulogised.

Casey didn’t bother his hoop going, as Indi would be too cross. Indi didn’t go either, bit sly considering all the help John gave her in setting up the gym. She is angry that she isn’t getting a chance to say goodbye to Romeo.

Jett is getting free dinners at Angelo’s for the foreseeable future. Good man Brax. Sid also cheered the Palmers up a bit by reminding them that Gina saved them, even as she was dying. Small comfort all the same.

The cops are after Ricky. Uh-oh.

Courtney

Monday, April 8th, 2013

Courtney is an amazing rubbish baddie, cast in the Summer Bay mould that also begot Johnny and Hammer. Casey has a vendetta against him, and got stabbed in a big bad-boy bash-up. Casey just has no luck.

Tilda told Gina that she bullied Jett because she fancies him. Gina must have spent the morning in a ditch, on the batter, because she believed Tilda. Poor form, Gina.

Indi and Romeo’s gym was about to open, and they were juggling meetings like old pros. But when Sid called around for a look, the fuses blew and the power went out. Time to get a sparky in. John Palmer had a go, and almost set the place on fire. The power in Angelo’s was also affected; Liam couldn’t even open the till to nick some cash.

Brax spilled his guts to Natalie, and she knocked him back. Form an orderly queue, ladies.
