Crook or not?

Monday, March 14th, 2011

Inquiring minds in Summer Bay want to know; did Miles and Elijah go to the same African barber?  They both have new dos.

Poor old Veej is having a hard time understanding why Elijah married someone else. I’m having a hard time understanding why Leah didn’t say “Look, yer wan Grace needed a visa so she could get treatment for her sick son”.

The River Boys – crook or not? I can’t decide. They haven’t really done anything yet, and one of them really fancies Colleen. In any case, both Angelo and Charlie are about to join their merry gang of surfies.

A gut feeling

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

What’s this? Detective Robertson is questioning himself?  Is it possible that he was wrong?  Wrong about Alf being a murderer? If he was wrong about that, then he could be wrong about everything. Robert’s gut has let him down.

John had a meeting with the real Shandi, his real daughter, not Daria the Shandi impersonator and con woman.  Angelo and Charlie decided to team up for some police work, just like old times.  Angelo went undercover posing as Will to entrap Daria. It worked a treat and she fell for the bait hook line and sinker.  Why is Angelo doing undercover cop work? I thought he was a restauranteur now?

Buck(ton)’s night

Monday, January 31st, 2011

That must have been the tamest buck’s night of all time.  Vittorio hit the hotspots with Alf, Palmer and Doctor Sid.  Wild.  Then they ran into Irene and Joanna.  While Sid was pulling some smooth shapes on the dancefloor, Irene and Alf had a good oul’ chinwag about what eejits Joanna and Vittorio are.

Meanwhile, at the “informal”, the atmosphere was electric, for a number of reasons.  Bianca and Liam succumbed to the inevitable and had a smooch.  Ruby, while grounded, snuck out and was caught by Charlie at the dance.  Charlie went MENTAL.  Ruby is seriously in the bad books, and Angelo’s not far behind I’d say.  At least the restaurant didn’t get wrecked by all the wayward teens knocking about.

Ruby seems to be falling in love with every dude in sight these days.  I don’t know where the Jackson storyline is going at all, at all.

Finally. Nicole was the winner on the fashion front; her hair was super.  Bianca’s top was pox.

Mamma Mia!

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Oh look at Bianca and April’s ma!  She’s improbably young.  Liam had quite the glint in his eye when he met her.  Nice ruse by April by the way, get Liam over for “guitar lessons” in the hopes that he and Bianca will fall for each other again.  Mammy Joanna is on Team Prince Vittorio though.

Marilyn is putting her affairs in order before she croaks it, what with her end date coming up.  She gave Romeo and Indy five big ones so that they can have their formal AKA debs in Angelo’s.  I smell a disaster; they’re gonna wreck the gaff.  Sid must be going mental humouring Marilyn – she does something mad in every episode.

Switcharoo

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

Two proposals and two surprise answers!  Bianca is engaged (again) to Vittorio.  Cue Liam Murphy.

Gina told Palmer to get bent though.  She says he’s just afraid of dying.  Bit harsh, headmistress.

Obviously schooled by Angelo in releasing unnecessary information, Miles told John he kissed his daughter, Shandi.  John looked like he didn’t even know who Milco was.

Recap

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

Angelo is a sap.  He liked the look of young Shandi Palmer and had bold thoughts about her.  Immediately, he confessed these thoughts to Charlie, who went (I think it’s fair to say) mental.  Then, Charlie made a big decision and…duh duh DUH!…asked Angelo to move in with her.  Much ado about nothing.

Shandi Palmer, though.  What a gal.  She was smooching with Miles when she told him oul’ JPIII is her dad.  He didn’t like that at all!

Another person who doesn’t like how a relationship is going is young Xave.  He’s none too impressed at the news that John “the Palmer” Palmer is going to propose to his ma.  What I want to know is, what’s the big deal?  They’re already living together, young man!

What to do if you have a heart attack

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

Lie under a car and wait for the local mental case to save you. Poor John. He was having a row with Xavier at the time, so naturally Xave now thinks he has super heart-affecting powers.

Liam Murphy has hightailed it out of the Bay. Looks like Prince trumps Rockstar. Ruby’s out of rehab and very distressed that he’s gone. Kisses hurt so much.

Penn called Alf a “suicide accomplice”. What a crap jibe. I hope Penn slings his hook soon.

What’s the craic with the downstairs of Angelo’s? It’s very like the surf club; it has a pool table and all. Is it the surf club?

In lady-news, Gina is looking BRILLIANT these days. John better keep an eye on that dicky ticker in case someone else tries to snatch her up.

Hugo’s gold

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Uh oh.  Angelo and Charlie presented Pauli with Hugo’s money, then snatched it away from him.  Good move lads.  Looks like Charlie might be joining her fella in the restaurant biz soon.

Romeo and Indigo didn’t take it to the next level.  They’re going to wait until they feel ready.  The rest of Summer Bay will be disappointed, seeing as they discussed it with everyone first.

Ruby’s off to rehab.  In fairness she has been drunk twice now.

Eating everything

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

In that episode, Miles strolled into the diner, and, on not being attended to immediately, shouted “I’m eating everything”, in the vain hope of rousing some service. However, eating everything is his default position, so no-one batted an eyelid. Plus, Leah was lying face-down in the kitchen. AND she wrecked a load of eggs. Turns out she’s working too hard.

I hope Mr. Risotto takes heed. He is working in Angelo’s day and night, and Officer Buxton is not impressed. In fairness, the restaurant is only open about three days. No wonder he’s keeping an eye on things.

Lastly, Romeo and Indigo smooched. Never saw that one coming. Mwah!

Up to date

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

After a brief sabbatical, we’ve returned from holidays.  It seems that the bay has been busy in our absence.  From what I can gather, the main talking points of the last week are:

  • Ruby got hammered and threw herself at Liam before puking in his toilet. Despite that, he rejected her advances.
  • Bianca scrapped with Palmer and got herself and April kicked out. Never one to turn away a stray, Irene took them in on a whim.
  • Leah is a bit mopey because Elijah is gone. Maybe she needs to take up another martial art, that worked the last time she got depressed.
  • Angelo is working himself into the ground. In fairness to him, the new restaurant looks great. I’d love to call in for a plate of tapas or two.
  • Tony hit the roof because Rachel decided to go to America without his approval. He does have a point there.

Did I miss anything?
