Well it’s finally happened, Web 2.0 has hit the bay. Again. Last week it was Gina and Facebook. This time it’s Palmer and Twitter, as prompted by Roo. He’s keeping all 20 of his followers riveted with updates from behind the scenes at the surf carnival. All went well until Xavier robbed his iPhone to tweet some updates. Mangrove River got the hump when Xavier, as John, called them creampuffs and criminals. There will be some strife at the carnival itself, no doubt about that.

Colleen and Mick McCarthy are big fans of the Webinet and are forever poking each other. It would be great if Colleen started a twitter account that we could follow in real life. That would be priceless.

Back in RL, Miles and Leah had a wee kiss. So cute. Mwah.

Wow you would never think Nicole had just been pregnant in her purple get-up. She and Indy lorried the makeup onto themselves and headed to Yabbie Creek to see a band. There must be one gig per night in YC, because Stalky Kieran was there too – Indy said she was going in order to get out of a date with him. He’s a hard man to put off.

Nicole was absolutely bolubas after two drinks, so Kieran took the laydeez home. They didn’t even see the band; what a waste of a dress. He wanted to show Indy some “scenery” but she was wise to him and roared till he stopped the car. Phew.

Charlie is pretending to go on Internet dates in order to stop Ruby driving her mental. Snoooooze.

“Are you high?”

“Yeah, I’m high.”

Liam is back on the gear. His record company dropped him and it’s sent him into a rapid tailspin, straight down the swanny. Even Bianca’s present of a new guitar couldn’t raise his spirits. Roo offered him a gig at the surf carnival but Liamo wasn’t interested.

Whither now for young Murphy? No doubt Bianca will find out about Liam’s relapse but only once he’s hit rock bottom and lost his job. Bianca seems fairly slow on the uptake, took her ages to cop on April was sick.

Remember there’s no one as Irish as Barack Obama, except maybe Liam Murphy.

I think people in the Bay have been taking Obama’s slogan a bit too far. Charlie thinks yes she can have Brax, but keep the relationship secret. Liam thinks yes he can go back on the gear, and no-one will find out. Surely they must know by now – there are no secrets in Summer Bay.

Elijah has been accused of coming on to Billy. Even if he did, it’s not a crime or a good reason to bate lumps out of someone. He’ll get his comeuppance.

Meanwhile, on telly H&A, Nicole had her baby and wants to keep it. It’s heartbreaking really. She’s a good wee actor, that one. Also, Indy was wearing MC Hammer pants and has a stalker.

I’m sorry, I’m driving through a tunnel, goodbye Dex.

Poor Nicole was getting fairly fed up with being overdue, so Angelo asked his mama for the Risotto family tips. She suggested a quick ride, but it turned out some heavy flirting on the beach did the trick. The baby is coming at warp speed, too. Marilyn won’t like that.

I was expecting more drama on the junkie cruise, but the cops just arrested Billy when he disembarked. Maybe he was too scared when Morag said she could summon fish from the sea.

Oh deadly, Roo and Morag are on Captain Romeo’s junkie boat cruise. This is going to end very happily.

I still don’t know how Elijah got bashed. He’s massive. The hospital bed barely contains him. Relations between him and Leah seem to be on the mend.

Romeo must be one of the biggest eejits to hit the Bay. He had a lovely girlfriend; he even foolishly failed his HSC to spend a year with her. Then she went to college and he took it to the next level with someone else. Now he’s raging because Indy is consorting with an Agriculture student. I’m not sure he knows how relationships work.

Well, it was only a matter of time till Brax wanted to go public with his Ladycop. She says no. However, they were holding hands in Angelo’s, so it will be about twenty minutes before someone realises what they’re up to.

Elijah was taken in by a junkie, invited him into his home, and was subsequently overpowered and bashed. Some ninja he is.

Given the way Marilyn was smothering Nicole she must have felt like saying “I’m on maternity, get me out of here!” She had enough of Marilyn’s schedule and girl’s day in, it was all getting too much. So when Angelo called over to see how she was doing, she took the opportunity to bail. Out of there like she stole something.

The two mates went down to the pier to see Romeo cleaning Alf’s boat. They begged the young layabout to let them on board and take the Blaxland out for a cruise. He relented, theft of property is no big deal when you have an ex YCPD Sergeant on board.

Angelo suggested Romeo start taking the boat out for charter cruises, like Hugo used to do. Maybe Romeo will get into people smuggling too. It would probably be more profitable that his surf school which isn’t going too well so far. He didn’t seem too impressed when the redhead boy turned up for his first lesson. IS he trying to say redheads can’t surf?
