Eating everything

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

In that episode, Miles strolled into the diner, and, on not being attended to immediately, shouted “I’m eating everything”, in the vain hope of rousing some service. However, eating everything is his default position, so no-one batted an eyelid. Plus, Leah was lying face-down in the kitchen. AND she wrecked a load of eggs. Turns out she’s working too hard.

I hope Mr. Risotto takes heed. He is working in Angelo’s day and night, and Officer Buxton is not impressed. In fairness, the restaurant is only open about three days. No wonder he’s keeping an eye on things.

Lastly, Romeo and Indigo smooched. Never saw that one coming. Mwah!

Up to date

After a brief sabbatical, we’ve returned from holidays.  It seems that the bay has been busy in our absence.  From what I can gather, the main talking points of the last week are:

  • Ruby got hammered and threw herself at Liam before puking in his toilet. Despite that, he rejected her advances.
  • Bianca scrapped with Palmer and got herself and April kicked out. Never one to turn away a stray, Irene took them in on a whim.
  • Leah is a bit mopey because Elijah is gone. Maybe she needs to take up another martial art, that worked the last time she got depressed.
  • Angelo is working himself into the ground. In fairness to him, the new restaurant looks great. I’d love to call in for a plate of tapas or two.
  • Tony hit the roof because Rachel decided to go to America without his approval. He does have a point there.

Did I miss anything?

What happened?

We were away – did Rachel leave?  What about Tony and Harry?  Arrrrrgggh.

Dex 4 Marilyn 4 eva

Marilyn was not impressed when she realised Alf and Miles had painted clothes onto Mr. Oddley.  However, a bunch of flowers from a “secret” admirer soon took her mind off her puppet pal.  Dexter is infatuated with her.  Those Walker men have good taste.

The Walker girl is not having much luck in the romance department.  Romeo informed her that he’s not ready for another relationship.  Maybe next week, Indy.

Elijah exits

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

As per usual in Summer Bay, a life changing decision is made in the blink of an eye.  Elijah woke up and was looking forward to his wedding to Leah.  By that same evening he was on his way to a disaster zone in Africa.

Poor Leah.  Yet again a fella leaves her.  She really is unlucky in love.  Two dead husbands, one broken engagement and a son who doesn’t know if he’s human or veejtable.  No doubt she’ll bounce back and will have a new suitor in a week or two.

World class acting

Well, the last scene of that episode was fairly painful.   Elijah nearly leapt for joy when he heard of a disaster overseas.  His holy instincts are to go and help the needy, but what about Leah?  Ah, sod her.

Dr. Shane Given came to town to tempt Rachel away to a life of doctoring in the US of A.  Apparently Rachel switched specialties from psychology to surgery.  A big leap, one might say.
