Alf takes his leave

RTE have a story saying that Alf is leaving Summer Bay for a six month break.  Ray Meagher is heading to London to take a role in Priscilla in the West End.  I’m sure he’ll be fabulous.
But what will happen to the Bay in his absence? Â Who’ll look after the bait shop, the surf club, Noahs, Surf Rescue, the emergency response squad with the orange outfits and all of the other functions that Alf performs? Â The town will fall to pieces without him.

Aye, the residents of Summer Bay will be hitting their heads against walls and rocking over and back in the corner while Alf is gone. I’m sure Rachel can take over Alf’s duties while continuing her career as a doctor/nurse/psychiatrist/midwife/scientist/curer of AIDS and cancer/magical healer/wife/mother/professional advice giver to Summer Bay locals.

Don’t think I could handle alf dressed as a sheila. I feel like if my grandad decided he doesn’t love me anymore but didn’t tell me to my face and I had to read it on the rte website. I hope they don’t get in a new alf for six months like new selina or new haily.

If you type “Ray Meagher” into google as you type some of the top suggestions it brings up are “Ray Meagher homosexual”, “Ray Meagher personal life” and “Ray Meagher wife”. People are obviously very curious about him.

Be God, the man’s a mystery, I checked online and no-one knows what sexuality he is…not that it matters hugely. It’s just that he gives such a good perception of traditional Sheila lover in H&A, it would seem unreal if he were actually gay.
I did find out that the guy who plays Jack in real life is in fact gay. What would Martha say?!

I think people got Alf mixed up with Dan cos he’s very prominent in gay pride festivals and stuff so people prob heard ‘guy from Home and Away leads gay pride festival’ and assumed it was Alf!

What’s wrong with everyone in Summer Bay? No decent story lines. We love Marilyn but Mr Oddley is just too much.When will Nicole find a decent bloke? We still would like to know how she has such an extensive wardrobe for a school kid. She can’t make them all herself as she hasn’t got the time!! Come on someone, get real.
