CSI Summer Bay?  Grant’s body turning up on the beech prompted the city to send in detective Robert Robertson to crack heads and get to the bottom of things ASAP. The Bay now has it’s own Dale Cooper. He’s already suspended Charlie and tried to do the same to Angelo. He brought Ruby to make her clap like a seal for some mad reason.  Is it just me or does this storyline bear an uncanny similarity to that of Josh West’s killing? Everyone is a suspect and has a motive but it will turn out to be somebody else altogether.

Geoff and Aidan miming the boat test was classic. Turn my ear to start the engine.  Brilliant stuff.  When they roped Alf in, it got even better.  More of this kind of thing.

Is that Sid gone?  Is that the last of the Walkers?  That’s extremely weird if so.

Someone washed up on the beach.  That’ll be Grant I suppose.

Morag, Charlie and Ruby had a great chat in that episode about Charlie torturing a confession out of Grant.  Ross was snoozing away there the whole time.  His hearing must be fading as well as his memory.

Ruby is distraught at not being allowed to tell everyone about her ma’s powers of persuasion.  She’s moving back in with Irene.

Speaking of which, who is paying for all the kids at Irene’s house?  Who buys Annie’s uniform?  Who keeps Geoff in bibles?  Irene doesn’t seem too loaded.  Although, maybe the funds from Lou’s boating empire are keeping them all afloat.  Boom boom.

Annie told Irene who told Miles that Nicole and Sid are having a fling.  They then told Leah, Alf and Kirsty before approaching either of the people actually involved.  Angry Miles shoved Sid in the pool.  They’re getting great mileage out of that pool set.

Martha plumbed new depths yesterday. When Romeo sloped up to her out of the surf and tried to chat her up, she cleverly observed, “you’re not from this town, are you?” How observant.

So Romeo doesn’t appear to fussy. First he tries it on with Martha and then switches his attention to Annie.  What age is he supposed to be? I would have thought there’s about 10 years between Martha and Annie.  Jai is going to have a mickey fit when he finds out his foster brother is cracking onto his ex.

On a more general note, I must admit that I prefer happy go lucky Martha to mopey Martha.  She never ceases to amaze me with her lack of brain power.  How can she be related to Morag?  Chalk and cheese.

Flippin’ ‘eck, Charlie lost the run of herself entirely over the last few episodes.  First she told Grant they were going for a chat with Ruby, then she TAZERED him and imprisoned him in some here-to-fore unmentioned cabin in the woods.  Ruby came along then and they got him to confess.  Good work Charlie.  She should have got a job in Guantanamo.  She did set him free to rape another day, though, so maybe she’s too soft.

I knew there was a reason the YCPD were talking about the tazers the other day.  Subtle, lads.

“Doing it tough” is the current phrase du jour in Summer Bay, and with good reason.

• Aden’s still doing it tough due to Belle’s death.  Surprisingly he didn’t get over it in a week.  I think the Summer Bay time warp is weakening.
• Sid is doing it tough trying to ward off Nicole.
• Charlie’s doing it tough trying to nail Grant for every rape in Oz.
• Jai is doing it tough because he can’t get his hands on Annie.
• Ruby’s doing it tough because she can’t decide between Xavier and Geoff.
• Widower dude’s doing it tough because he has a baby and no wife to help with the childrearing.  Rachel or Leah will sort that out for him.
• Hugo and Confused Martha are doing it tough because the authorities don’t like their shipwreck idea.
• Kirsty and Miles are doing it tough because they’re having a babog and only one of them is bothered with it.

Brendan is the only one having any craic; I wonder what Ruby II was wearing when he was talking to her?

Uh-oh watch out Ruby, here comes your da with his confusing words and twisting of the truth.  Charlie did a good disbelieving face when she heard that Ruby is making friends with her father.

Where is Dexter and Indigo’s ma from?  She’s a little bit foreign, didn’t know that was allowed in Summer Bay unless you have an Aussie accent to go with it.

Poor Sid, everyone’s effed off on him and all because of Nicole.  He better not get together with her after all of that.  I wonder will Indigo fully recover from her terrible injuries AKA a few scratches to the face.

And Annie is heartbroken.  That’ll probably last five minutes, and she still has Jai to fall back on.

Summer Bay – popular with surfers, fishermen, rapists and psychopaths.  Now that Ruby has met up with her dad, who raped Charlie, sure it’ll only be five minutes before he ends up in the bay.  It’s a magnet for ne’er do wells.  But maybe the sea air will have a calming and positive influence on him, causing him to mend his erroneous ways.

There have been previous reformed rapists who managed to be accepted in the bay.  First there was Kane who raped Dani back in the day. He was eventually accepted by all, even Kirsty for some bizarre reason.  In more recent times Henk made an appearance which shocked Rachel as he had raped her when they were younger.  Cassie wasn’t too put off and went out with him despite his weird name.

Flamin’ Mongrel alerted us to the fact that everyone’s favourite beauty therapist, Marilyn, is returning to the Bay!  Hopefully she can sort out Nicole’s eyeliner.  And Irene’s hair.  And Morag’s lipstick.
