Look who just walked in

September 14th, 2009 by Flathead

Summer Bay welcomed the Walker family this week. But no sooner had they arrived that the Ma left.  She was sick of putting up with Dr Sid and his adulterous ways. So now he’s left looking after the kids which will be tough to balance with a job in Australia’s busiest hospital and riding anything that moves in a town where there’s a prevailing “free love” attitude.

He’s already had a bit of a barney with Leah in the diner. Considering she’s the only single lady around his age, I don’t think it’ll be too long before their confrontation becomes consummation.  He timed his arrival badly as Charlie and Martha are otherwise engaged at the moment, otherwise I’m sure he’d be able to get it on with one of them.

Indigo has managed to have a scrap with a pissed Nicole. They could be love rivals for a single, and often confused, Geoff. Imagine the strain his brain will be under if he has to make a choice?

Young Dexter seems harmless enough and has taken his Mother’s departure badly.  But Annie is doing her best to console the poor scamp. He’d want to watch it as he’ll face the wrath of Jai if he doesn’t cool it. Jai has taken a bullet for less so Dexter could be in big trouble. I predict a bashing.

Maybe Dr Sid can hook up with Nurse Julie, now that she’s revealed herself to be evil

If Dexter liked it then he shoulda put a ring on it. Maybe a few weeks after they wed Annie will let him see her left boob.

Anyone else think that the new shouty mother is a bit like SATC Samantha’s lesbian fling? I forsee plate throwing in the near future. My mate thinks the new family is a bit Neighbours, and I have to agree. Can’t put my finger on why, but its there.

I’m not impressed with the Walker family so far. But I usually don’t like the new characters when the first arrive, Nicole being one recent exception.

It is so rare that a whole family turns up in the Bay like that. Normally some tearaway arrives mysteriously and gets taken in by Irene or Sally and slowly but surely the whole extended family comes out of the woodwork, like Will, then Hayley, then Nick, then their Da. Or, a family arrives but one of the parents has already died tragically like the Holdens or the Hunters. That is why the Walkers seem so Neighbours. Generally they also have some connection to the bay. Like the way Joel and Natalie and Gypsy and Tom already had Travis in the bay. The last full family I can remember arriving out of the blue with no SB roots were the Sutherlands and we all know how feckin annoying they were. This does not bode well for the Walkers.

The mother is a bit like the wan from SATC. Maybe she’ll be Charlie’s next conquest

flamin mongrel. do you also find kirsty annoying? because as you said you find all the sutherlands annoying

  7. Flamin' Mongrel Says:

Yeah, Kirsty is really annoying. She is so pointless. Her relationship with Miles is ridiculous. Thank God she’s leaving. I wonder how they’ll do it. Cancer and murder have already been used this year. Maybe she’ll move to the city. The possibilities are endless.

My money’s on the AIDS. They haven’t used that since last year.

I reckon Kane will come back as the leader of a cult and she will go off and leave the Bay with themafter he has brain washed her…

or miles finally comes to his senses and throws her out
