Like father, like son

July 28th, 2008 by Flathead

When did VJ learn to speak? All of a sudden, he’s hanging around the Den and getting into all kind of scrapes. He’s a lovable scamp who needs excitement not unlike his old man, Vinny the half man, half teddy bear, innocent prison escapee, who came back from the dead. Poor Leah is driven demented and is getting even more flustered than usual. VJ was deaf as a baby but doesn’t seem to have any problems with his hearing now, except when he chooses to ignore Leah telling him not to get up to any high jinks. Now that he’s seen Kirsty on the run, how long before he’s shopping her to the cops for the reward money? No doubt he’d spend the reward money on a furry animal costume so he can join up with Vinny in a two man comedy revue show called "Grin and bear it – the bear essentials", touring Edinburgh, Montreal and Kilkenny.

that point about Vj was brought up when we were watching home and away today.
he never used to have any speech and now all of a sudden he’s a moany back chatting
little brat.does anybody find that Jai guy incredibly annoying?and will miles ever lay
off eating for a while.when Vj and Leah left he started finishing Vj’s drink.he’s a horse.

Miles is obviously self-medicating after the death of his wife and child. Self-medicating with food.
Do you think that when he gets together with Leah, he’ll stop the chomping?

Leah works in the Diner and that’s the only reason Miles is interested. He wants free food to feed his habit. The burger phone has been making a few high profile appearances at the Den lately. It’s good to see that it survived the move. Better watch out though, Miles might eat it!

I’m still hoping that Vinnie will come back. It would be perfect if Leah was just about to get it on with Miles the Muncher and then Vinnie appeared.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how the Burger Phone is still on the go. It’s been in the diner since the begining as far as I can remember. It’s survived a couple of fires, numerous moves and an earthquake…yet it still works!

They should make cars and planes out of the same material, we would all be sorted.

The burger phone is amazing. I can remember Bobby making a call on it when Ailsa and her first opened the diner. Wasn’t there a similar one in a film recently? Juno perhaps?

Maybe they have a few burger phones in props. I like to imagine that there is only one though. They have it insured for $5 million. Also, I think Juno stole the idea for the burger phone from Home and Away. I bet there is a deleted scene somewhere in the movie Juno, in all her smug condescension, says something like “Oh, I just spent the day at home with a 40 oz blue slurpy, massaging my bastard child bump and watching Home and Away, this cool Australian soap that only the cool kids know about in America.”

The lads on youtube were marvelling at the burger phone too: http://uk.youtube.com/comment_servlet?all_comments&v=rfE6ucn1u-M&fromurl=/watch%3Fv%3DrfE6ucn1u-M

    Juno is such a robber.
