Jesse McGregor – bad boy for life
Jesse Jesse Jesse, oi oi oi! Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do? What you gonna do when they come for you? Go to jail for years and years in Jesse’s case. Well he was responsible for Chloe’s death so he deserves whatever he gets. Jesse is no stranger to jail. Â He’s always been flirting with the wrong side of the thin blue line. He was never on the straight and narrow, more the bent and crooked.
When he first appeared in the bay, he went out with Selina. Â They broke up and the police were looking for Jesse. He did a legger but left his daughter Rachel with Joel Nash and his wife. The police caught up with him eventually and he went to jail. While in Jail he met up with Vinnie, “the V man”, Patterson. Â Vinnie supposedly died in a fire on the day that he was due to get out of jail. Bad timing. As it turned out, he didn’t die at all but got a job as a human teddy bear. Â Jesse took the opportunity to get with Leah, Vinnie’s main squeeze. Â Leah did her usual thing of getting flustered over burgers in the diner but not many story lines beyond that. Until she agreed to be a surrogate mother for Flynn and Sally. While this was happening, Flynn put the moves on Leah. Jesse wasn’t happy and tried to claim Flynn. It all blew over and baby Pippa was born.
Leah and Jesse finaly split up and this drove Jesse to the sauce. He got locked one night and drove his car like a mentalist. He crashed into another car which contained Chloe, who Jesse had been flirting with. Chloe’s daughter was also in the car. Chloe died as a result of her injuries. Jesse felt a twinge of guilt and decided to turn himself in. Alf declared him to be a “flamin mongrel”. We haven’t seen him since but you never know, there might be another fire in the prison which could see him escape. Anything is possible in the bay.
